3.5"-4" Jack gets my vote. Sheepfoot master blade would be my preference.

I voted Half congress: 3.5"-4" because it'll be a slim knife with a sheepsfoot that will be more than long enough. 3-5/8 would be ideal for me. :)
The use of a "catch bit" on a single spring knife could even optimize the blade length like on this Case 06247 PEN:

I voted 3.5", but most likely it'll end up being 3 5/8", as that's the standard mid-sized congress length.

voted Congress jack: 3"-3.5".
Larger blade smaller package.

tho a single spring deal may be nice too...

all this thinking...and looking....I just may end up with my first congress :)

I'm hoping for a nice blade-to-handle ratio, so I'm voting Congress Jack 3.5" - 4" range. Steel type and covers are less important to me, in this case, because I'm pretty confident that whatever is chosen will be acceptable. Just let's please make this a nice usable knife, with a decent size main blade! :)

I voted for a 3-1/2" Congress jack. Since the jack pattern would have longer primary blade, I am concerned that a larger knife might cause some legality issues for our British and possibly other members. Anyway, the 3-1/2" is right in the sweet spot size wise for me. I would not kick a 4" Congress jack to the curb though; I have a couple Buck 301/302 single blade stockman knives with 4" handles and about 3-1/4" blades which suit me quite well, so might a 4" Congress jack.

Thanks for the consideration Ed. I voted for the smaller Jack mainly for this reason. As long as the blade is under 3", it'd be legal carry here. I don't think this should be a deciding factor, if you guys want a larger knife that's fair enough, but personally I already have too many knives I can't legally carry here.

I'd like to see a smaller knife, so I voted 3 - 3 1/2". Sheepsfoot would be great.

I voted for 3.5-4 jack. I think the jack is more visually pleasing. I'd be happy with wharncliff or sheepfoot, heck, both would be radical!

I would prefer to see us build a thinner single spring knife. I voted the 3.5" half congress. With natural covers, that would be a very nice carry.

3-3.5" looks like a good pattern. Any more, and it might look gaudy. I'm not looking for a Sunday go to meetin' knife, but an everyday user. Big patterns tend to stay at home anymore.

3 1/2 inch vs 4 1/4 inch. 3 1/2 is plenty. 4 inch plus is a handful...as you can see.

I agree with the above, I voted 3.5 to 4, but would like to see it stay closer to 3.5. As someone mentioned, a 3 5/8ths might be the ticket as many are already tooled up at that pattern size.
