Mine arrived today. Beautiful fit and finish. Thanks for all involved! Can't wait to see what the 2014 version brings!

Got mine today, thanks Blaine, it's gorgeous, this knife had everything I voted for, the first forum knife where all my choices were there.

Blades perfectly centered, backspring flush open and closed, F&F superb. Sharpness outta the box was a 6 on the 10 scale, (I'll fix that) the only fault I can find is that the long pull on the main blade did a little low behind the secondary pen blade, (nothing I can't fix with a diamond file to the kick on the pen blade.

Overall, I'd give the entire project knife an 8 on the 10 scale :) .

Now what do we put together for 2014? ;)

Got mine Friday, It is an awesome knife.

Love the long slender sheepsfoot and the swedge in the pen blade, My one grip is the pull, yes they are fine but they could be a little bit stronger. I like strong pulls.

Other than that, love this knife, this will definitely go into a more dressy type situations. Paired with a peanut and you have your blades choices well covered.

I pulled out all the past forum knives, lined 'em up and did a comparison. The one thing that becomes immediately apparent is that we're gettin' better at this every year, although we've had some spectacular knives over the years this year's knife has to be the most elegant and refined knife to date. Kudos to everyone involved, you hit this one is the ballpark. :)

Something I could see someone sittin' on the courthouse steps back in the early 20s whittlin' on a piece of wood while discussing local politics.

I'm gonna try to get a family pic of all the past knives with the this year's entry and the related packaging.
 
Now, if we could have someone post a photo of this year's knife next to the custom Congress Jack that inspired it (I forget who the Japanese maker is), we can compare. I wish I had saved that photo...
 
Picked mine up from the Post Office this morning. Just a beautiful piece of work! Right up there with my best quality traditional folders.
Thank you to all involved :thumbup: and looking forward to more as the years tick by.
 
Finally arrived today! The box had been opened (eek) - but all was as it should be inside.

Gorgeous knife! Thank you all for your hard work.
 
Mine came yesterday (so I can quit whining about it).... :D

I took a quick peek before it went under the Christmas Tree. It's absolutely superb!! GEC is putting out some of the very best in quality, fit and finish and attention to detail I've ever seen in a production piece... I think it will take me a bit of time to warm up to the main blade and color, but it's such a well put together knife, I think I'll come around.
 
I haven't!! Here in Oklahoma, I ordered late so not sure if Spark started at top of list and working down??
I WOULD like to know when he gets close to done so if I have not recieved one I can REALLY start worrying!!:(



Well it came last night mail usually runs around 2-3:00 Between the Season and the weather mailman came @ 8:30 PM and Low and behold a BOX and a Knife ;), Yep PERFECT!! and was really not sure on this one BUT VERY nice!! Well done ALL!

I did receive mine a few days ago. I will try to post a pic soon, but I must say, they came out amazing! Great fit and finish...not quite custom quality, but IMO, very close!

Thanks to all who had a part in making this happen.

At this time the only ones that haven't gone out yet are internationals that I'm waiting on postage for, and I think that's... a fella in australia who's last name starts with M.

Everyone else's has shipped.

It's looking like we might have around 30 or so available after everyone reports they've gotten theirs.
 
Thanks for the update Kevin, for you folks that were on the fence when these were being ordered, get one more before they're gone, these came out simply beautiful, one of, if not the most elegant forum knives to date.

Crap, looks like it got delivered to my ex-girlfriend's house. This should be fun.
