2014 G.E.C. RENDEZVOUS, Who's Coming ?

August in Titusville...

Since You You can't be there in person, we will have a toast to You being there in spirit.
Not even my spirit could tolerate the summer humidity. Although, unlike my physical self, it would probably be immune to the poison ivy. :D

Have fun and post pics!

Sounds like a good time. I've never attended due to travel time/$$. I'll have to plan better and maybe hit the GEC get together and a Blade over the next year.

Indeed! Any news on what the knife is? Maybe the new TC Barlow?

Last year Charlie introduced the then new sheepsfoot SFO barlow he had produced. It was not the rendezvous knife but it was sold at the rendezvous. In another thread I suggested he might do the same this year based on last year. It was an assumption made with no info or facts. Sorry if it caused any confusion daver. If you're curious about the next run you can always contact Charlie and/or check the barlow thread.

It'll be interesting to see what they will have on hand this year for sure!

I'll be thereThursday, can't wait. I hope to get one hand on this years rendezvous knife, and meet some more of you all.

Oh, how I wish I could make it!! While you folks are enjoying BBQ and sharing your collections of beautifully sharp pieces of art, I will be preparing a nursery for my son! Hopefully I will be able to join you fine people at next year's event!

To all who are planning to come to the G.E.C. Picnic on Saturday, August 9th.
PLEASE R.S.V.P. to G.E.C. by July 31st, ( This Thursday ).

That's all I know!

As if! ;) :D

He's due the end of August, but preparations must be made!

Hope it all goes smoothly, not long now :)

Have a great time everyone, I wish I could be there, but my Yorkshire passport is currently being renewed ;)

If any kind knife knut would be able to pick up an extra for a pitiful poor stay-at-home, I would sure like to send some funds your way! I just can't afford the trip this year.

But congrats and happy trails to those who are going! :D

I am amazed at that which continues to arise, if not conspire, to keep me from Titusville next week end.

However, as of today I am officially packing to go:

May it be so!

Nice collection/display!!

Be strong, Sarah!!
As encouragement, there will be some knives waiting for you!!
And other stuff!!;)

I don't know what the knife WILL be, I do know it WON'T be a TC Barlow.

You are partly right, Bob. They are not my product. Due to time constraints, Bill "borrowed" the pattern to feature that historical Sucker Rod.
I gotta line up just like everyone else to get one!

I had originally planned to have some people (some family and a friend) with me, but no one else could make it. I still plan on coming, but I'm wondering if this is more of a "bring your family" type gathering?
