2014 G.E.C. RENDEZVOUS, Who's Coming ?

If past events are any indication (and I trust they are), the Rendezvous is a very laid-back affair, with as much time as a knife nut might want to watch the GEC factory and workers in operation (assuming you're there Thursday or Friday; there will be tours on Saturday morning, but no active work being performed) and talk knives and, well, knives with those who have gathered, whether from GEC or other collectors/enthusiasts who wander through.

There are no 'events' other than hanging out, up to and including this year's Rendezvous-ending picnic.

Me, I soak it up. :)

My family and non-knife-nut friends would be bored stiff after the first polite twenty minutes or so.

I wish I could make it. Would be a heck of a long drive but if I didn't have plans here on Saturday I might have considered it.

I appreciate that. You all who are lucky enough to go take a few pics for us who are not able to make it. I have been trying figure out a way but alas there is none.

It is a bit of a drive for me too, about 3 1/2 hours give or take, so if I make it, it'll be on Friday. Right now not sure because of my ankle, it doesn't much care for long trips and that makes about a 7 hour day just driving, ankle still swells up and gets uncomfortable when still for long periods of time. but I would like to be able to get there, we'll see :(

With my money or your money? I would love to go and I could probably be found there (imagining, of course) around the factory workers that assemble the knives or peening processes or buffing processes or handle installation or well you see where I am going? Might get some really good Primble-izing tips at that GEC place! :eek::D

I'm going to try to make it out Friday for a little bit, if I can get the day off work and all the stars line up just right... Fingers crossed, though!
 
I am going up for the weekend and staying at the Campground Fri. - Sat. - Sun. - >>> who knows == I might even learn a thing or two.!*
Also will get to see my Daughter as she only lives about a 4 hr. drive from there.* I see her once a year anyway so I can do two birds with one drive.
I am really looking forward to it.***

I've been to almost every Rendezvous and I wouldn't want to miss this one, it's always a great time.

I'm planning on being there Thursday and Saturday.

I live in Pittsburgh over the winter for school, so I'm looking forward to meeting some fellow Pittsburghers.

Thank you my friend.

To be honest it guts me I can't be there - thats one on my bucket list, the people- the venue - the knives - just an incredible experience to miss out on- I just wish so much to be there.

PLEASE everyone who attends - please take as many photos of the venue- those special knives - and especially photos of people meeting people- groups etc.

I have a camp a few miles down river and I think my family will be staying behind to get some work done, but they might head in to Titusville with me.
Only a few more days!!!
