Jim, How could you be so exhausted, all you do is take pictures? :)
Looking so forward to those pictures too.

Thanks so much for taking the photos Jim. As a maker you have a small window before hand to walk around and meet the makers. Your photos add another opportunity.
Your time and effort is greatly appreciated and I am glad to hear you are having a chance to relax and enjoy. You are an amazing man to fit all you do into such a short span of time.

Thank you again for sharing your talent.

Coop, thanks for the photos and the report. I had a reasonable amount of leather displayed there this year on several of those tables and I'm very thankful for that. I was wondering if you got a shot of Bill Ankrom? I did some last minute work for him and I thought sure he was there. Thanks again, my friend. You Rock!

Paul

Great Show! Good to see everyone. Coop thanks for all your great images inside the show and outside in your tent. Dave Harvey has got this show very well tuned
for all involved.

Thanks for the pictures Coop, I see a lot of old friends! I'm with Paul, where's my buddy Ankrom?;)

Coop, I'm just amazed that you were able to capture all these wonderful show shots in the small window of time that you had allotted for yourself to do so. I think I saw you snap maybe two or three shots, yet we are seeing a wonderfully HUGE slice of the show in this compilation. Thanks for all you do!

Bob

Thanks for the pictures, and the write-up, Coop.
We drive by there every couple years, but have never stopped. Perhaps next time we will.

Elizabeth and Curt: YOU guys are a highlight of my work. :) Thanks for your projects and support.

Guys: I'm afraid to tell you I don't know who Bill Ankrom is by sight. We never connected. I hope I will sometime, but I completely didn't look over table cards and must have passed him over. Someone introduce me? :D

I'm still in CA today and will leave for a little shop in Riverside within an hour. That will probably be the subject of an entirely new thread. I spent two hours yesterday afternoon out on the water with the Long Beach Junior Crew coaching staff. (Rowing: This is one of my careers, too.) The Varsity Girls coach is an ex-national team member, who I taught to row ten years ago. :D We enjoyed the dialog, and I witnessed some VERY fast crews!

I am GREATLY indebted to the community of knife people: last night I had a most warm and enjoyable dinner in the home of Harbeer and his family. We talked until it got late. I can only impress upon you how grateful this day has been.

Gotta go. LA traffic is mounting....

Thanks, as always, for your coverage and taking the time to post these.... :)

Jim, I agree with the others, the pictures are great. I know you were so busy I don't know how you found the time, but we sure appreciate it.
Bill Ankrom was there guys, he had some great knives and I believe he had a good show. I know I enjoyed the show and getting to see so many great knives, the bar keeps getting higher.

Show was fun, I scored this beautiful Barry Davis folder carved by Daniel Stephan.
Dave
Sorry we did not see each other Coop.

Dave, for some reason, I just didn't see you anywhere around the show and until I saw this post, figured for some reason you had been unable to make it. Glad, however, you were able to pick up something. In my case, it was a big goose egg for me.

sweet thread!

Love the makers but would have loved a table shot of each maker's knives! I know... Looking in a gift horse's mouth! I had to work and just bummed I couldn't make it!!!

I'm so glad I checked back in on this thread. Thanks for posting those pics, Coop. You can actually feel the energy coming out of that hall. Much appreciated. :)

I'm back home, safe and sound. Went from 75° and sunny to 43° with wind and rain. :( That is to say = New England weather. :)

I feel your pain. HOWEVER, I took one shot of a table knife, saw that, and I just refuse to take crappy photos of knives which do none of the makers any justice at all, and align me with CP's (Crappy Pics). ;) Thanks for asking. Let someone else step on that mess. LOL!

I'm preparing my files to show NICE knife images soon.

BTW: Had an incredible morning yesterday in Riverside at the Loveless Shop. Jim Merritt is an outstanding person. That will be covered elsewhere, later.
