The GEC single blade seems to be pulling ahead!

Poll Closes Tomorrow Night!!

Get those votes in there!!

It's not over 'til the bearded gentleman sings! ;)

What an incredible amount of interest. If everyone that voted buys one GEC will be busy on this one. I am sure some won't but other may get multiple, still a smashing success.
Again, thanks to all involved in getting this project to this point.
Thanks to CSC and GEC for the great choices.

Chris

Once the poll closes and a decision is made, will we have another poll on the other aspects? Blade shape, handle, etc.?

Nope. The final knife will have stag scales and at this point be made by GEC with either a single clip blade or a clip blade and pen blade.

Thanks, I saw the first post but wasn't sure how "SAMPLE" the photos were.

I realize it would delay things a few days, but there seems to be great interest in the GEC as a barehead. Is there any chance another poll could be run to vote on barehead vs. endcapped?

^^Great question, especially with John's earlier input that the barehead would show/save more stag for the scales.

The bare-head issue is the only thing that made me second-guess my choice for GEC. If we could get that with the GEC, then I'd be 100% happy.

It bears noting that even with the 2 CSC knives' votes added together, it doesn't top either of the GECs.

I'd be in for a barehead…single or double!

I hope not. The poll has been run.

Well, IF the single-blade does take the laurels, I think it would be an excellent idea to see if most people would prefer it as Barehead (hopefully!) as opposed to capped. I'm sure it can't alter the costs at all and that naked stag end is most appealing:D:cool:

I do hope GEC considers John Lloyds suggestions. If GEC doesn't have any cost/quality issues with providing a stag covered knife capped on both sides then I do not think the design should change.. However, if it did change to bareheaded I would be a happy boy.

The drawings of the GEC knives presented at the beginning of this thread/poll clearly show endcaps. If one of the GEC knives wins the poll then the forum knife should have endcaps. No re-polls!!

I have to agree with Ed. The makers were given time to submit their offerings prior to polling. Changing specs after the fact would call into question the process. Whatever gets the most votes is what we get. If people wanted bare head they should have voted for a CSC option. FWIW I think the GEC would look good with or without caps.

While I would prefer a bear head I have to agree with Ed and say that it should stay what was voted for in this poll. People cast their vote on the drawings presented, changing them after the poll closes doesn't seem kosher. Some people may have voted differently had they been given that choice and gone with a pattern that didn't win. Just my two cents, I'm in on whatever at this point!

Single blade pulling away....... And I agree that It would not be right to change anything now, we all voted on what was presented.
