I got to the P.O. yesterday and picked up my CSC 2015 Forum knife.
A brief review:
Attractiveness: Beautiful. I love it !
Function & Blade Action: Everything is Perfect.
My sincere thanks to all involved and in particular to Eric and Barry.
It's a great knife. I have knives of a similar pattern made in Nixdorf, Austria in late 1800's, so this one is very old timey Traditional.
Did i mention, i got a Great knife !

Glad you got a great one KJ :D I'll have to keep an eye on the Exchange for one.

Regards, Will

Yip Yip
got mine today and must say how disappointed I am.
I was hoping to do some chronic nit picking but the darnd-nacious thing is more beautiful than a Bengal tiger that's just been to the hairdressers for a makeover.
The finish and figure of the Bocote is as I described above. Just beautiful. And light.
Another BF victory.
Cheers.

Nice tiger stripes [emoji41]

That's got some great wavy grain to it, nice one!

Mine showed up today, just opened them. Both knives are very nice, beautiful handles with good grain, good walk and talk, all blades paper cutting sharp right out of the box. Great knives, both of them. Am going to have a hard time deciding which one to carry and which one to put away. A big thanks to everyone who worked on putting this together, Eric at Canal Street for puttiing them all together, and to Gunstock Jack for taking on the monumental task of mailing them all out. Will post pics in the photo thread once I get time to take some.

Forgot to add, for the other Canadians: no extra customs charges at all, I believe they opened the package and took a look, as there was Canada Border Services tape sealing one end of the package. I think I must have got it mixed up in a previous post when I said I believed that I got charges from Customs when a knife came through BC but not Ontario, seems to be the other way around?

 That's great news danno50. Looking forward to the pics!

Mine came in yesterday, the dreaded Christmas Eve parcel pick up tag in the mailbox. Handling fee of $10, $18 GST (roughly). I opened the box to find three containers within, and then it got wrapped up and put under the tree, because why not with it being this close. I was supposed to only be able to pick it up tomorrow after 1:00😏 when they are closed, but the postal worker checked the back for me until he found it!! Helped I was his only customer at the time and he must have known traditional goodness was at stake! Here it to awaiting my swirly, dark and light grained beauty in a few hours!!

So who's still missing a knife or are they all delivered as of now?
Waiting on one here in the middle of the continent. My wife got it for me for my birthday and had it delivered to her work because she figured that would be best since she could receive the package during the day....now she is on holidays with a mail hold till January 4th...oh well. At least now I won't obsess over it till January 4th...or try anyways! Never got a tracking number either so I have no idea when to expect it! Can't wait

Cuts Like A Kris, was the $10 "handling fee" from Canada Post ? or a delivery service like UPS, FedEx, etc. ?
kj

If CUTS LIKE A CHRIS's parcel came like mine ... perhaps these details will help in answering your question, kj.

On the box ... delivered to my porch (not the regular super box) by my postman

• Barry's USPS Customs Declaration sticker, value $176 USD

• Big Yellow sticker headed 'Collect Customs' with logo of Canada Post

• Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) POSTAL IMPORT FORM showing ...
value $241.70 CDN (exchange rate 1.373300)
GST/HST $ 31.42 CDN (sales Tax 13%)
Handling costs $9.95 CDN

Total payable $41.37 CDN 'Payment to the Canada Post Corporation'

Everyone that had a knife ordered should have it in their possession by now. If you do not, PM or email me asap. :D:D:D

Sorry for the delay in answering, but the charge was just the handling costs as taldesta stated. plus I got three knives, so not too bad.

Honestly I couldn't be happier, all three are very good fit and finish, some slight recurve in both blades of the forum knife, but nothing overly noticeable, and all three could cut out of box!! Love the patterns in the wood covers, and although the Blue is nice, it just reaffirms that I'm just not an acrylic guy, unless really special, and I need to see in person. So be it, just limits my choices from tens of thousands of knives, to tens of thousands of knives!!😝

Thanks again all who helped me get a great Christmas gift!!

Looks like everybody that ordered has now received their 2015 Forum Knife, so I will consider the case closed on 2015!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
