Got mine yesterday. Thank you to everyone that made this happen. The wood covers look great. Both blades on mine have a bit of a recurve, but they are screaming sharp.

Got mine today. The covers are decent, not the most exciting bocote I have ever seen, but no flaws.

Sad about Canal Street Cutlery closing up, picked up a 4" serpentine stockman in black micarta to have another nice example of their work, hope to see Wally at SHOT.

Happy Holidays to all, thank you for your work Barry!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Extremely sharp. Slight recurve in the blades, but aesthetically they look nice. Very light I must say. You can tell it's hand made.

Suzuki, nice pictures. Thank you. I think mine is at the P.O. waiting for me to pick it up.
I would have liked to see the enclosed information card give the cutler's name as well. I believe all 300 of these knives were made either entirely or else largely by, "Eric", and he deserves to be recognized for such fine work.

He is mentioned in the credits stuck to the inside of the box.
"and to Eric who supervised and literally bled for these knives..." or something like that.

Received mine today. No recurve in the blades. The secondary blade has a little play. I oiled the tangs and this improved the walk-and-talk considerably.

But post box was empty (no knife, no notification note) ... hmm ... I guess I have some more waiting ahead of me.

4 days later the knife still did not show. I do not even know which carrier (DHL, GLS, ...) was supposed to deliver the package. I am starting to loose hope that I will ever see the knife ... :( This has never happened before and I have bought loads of stuff from outside EU over the years. It would not be a surprise if the delivery took longer, but the fact that the trackig shows all the steps (icluding the final "DELIVERED" one) makes me feel strange.

ALL of the forum knives have shipped; they went out via United States Postal Service First Class or First Class International. The last shipped on Dec. 10th. If you weren't notified, I may not have had your email correct. The mail is notoriously slow this time of year and I'm sorry that the order wasn't received earlier and so avoid the Xmas rush, but the delivery schedule was not under my control.

If the USPS tracking system says your package was delivered, then it probably was. If you didn't get it, then you need to check with your local US Post Office. We've had at least one package that was destroyed and the contents missing, but it may be tracked down yet. Mail theft can be another issue, but let's hope we don't see any of that.

Please, be patient! Packages can take over a week at this time of year.

I did not mean to imply that the package was not shipped properly or anything like that. I am in Germany and USPS usually handles the package over to DHL or some lower-end carrier (GLS, DPD, ...). While the tracking is often rather spotty, this time in remained all fine (including arrival to DE, main customs office in Frankfurt, and so on). But since I do not know which company was supposed to deliver the package, I will rather wait few more days than try to call them all to find a package with USPS shipping number (the German ones are of course different, just to make things easier). I am only saying it has not happened yet that tracking would imply the package was delivered, but nothing would arrive.

I didn't mean to insinuate any issue or wrongdoing. I'm actually not in a huge hurry to get mine. I appreciate the work you've done. My one concern was that, since I was one of the very last to buy, my order might have said it went through but actually didn't or something like that.
Check to make sure you don't have another email address associated with your paypal account. My notification went to one email address, but not the other.
I'll check that, thanks
