2015 Forum Knife - It's Never Too Early To Think About the Next Blade Forum Knife

The more I think about it, the more I'd like a Farmer's Jack or an Orange Blossom. I don't think I've ever seen either in modern production.

Bumping this thread to keep it going. Single EO sheepfoot #15 frame by GEC, or two blade version with caplifter-screwdriver would make a great 2015 knife.

Whatchu mean, somfin' like dis? ;)

That's got my vote 100%!

I understand there's some interest in a Scout/Camper style knife; what say you?

Since I have a soft spot in my head for that pattern, I'd be very interested. However, once the cost goes over $100 the majority here seem to have trouble getting allowance money and interest (and sales) die.

Evan, you do beautiful work! How long will it take you to make 350, priced under $100 of course! ;)

We can always get a quote from GEC on the most popular suggestions here and then put it to a vote. :)

Like corralling cats in here.

As much as I like the cap lifter idea, and I've drooled over Evan's creations and the GEC rendezvous specials too, I have also pined after the 2011 forum knife which I missed out on. The caplifter has been done. Should we not look towards something different? I like that each year has been unique, let's continue the tradition, it is after all a traditional blade forum knife.

You might want to revisit how a manufacturer quotes a job. Or even better the 2012 & 2013 knife processes.

Remind me then. I've talked to GEC about this before and they seemed happy to give a quote a couple of times. It seems like no harm is done in asking GEC how much either pattern would be before we commit to it. As for the BF knife process, I really doubt it's going to be any different here. We're trying to get a knife that pleases the most amount of people. It's either going to be chosen for us, or we will have to choose the knife democratically.

Whoa, there fellas. No price quotes. This is not an official 2015 BF knife thread. Nor will there be one until sometime in 2015.

I didn't mean right now. Lol. I Was responding to eisman's concern that a particular pattern would be too costly for most people to want to buy it. So my suggestion was to ask GEC for quotes since they are happy to do so, and see what interests people the most. When the time comes, of course. :)
