2015 Forum Knife Photos

Ted, that is close to what I hope mine looks like when it gets here, along with my Pemberton and Grinling.

These pics and having three knives arriving, makes the wait that much harder, and better at the same time!!

I'm very happy with mine, is it perfect? They never are. Am I satified? you bet I am, no dings in the blade, I love the pattern in the wood, swirls and stripes (kinda reminds me of a tabby cat) and it doesn't hit the back spring and it takes great pictures. :) Thanks again guys, enjoy your holiday and take a break before addressing next year's knife.;)

Just got mine today. I love the way the pile side looks on mine. Very satisfied with this knife. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.

Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks like there's a little gopher (or beaver?) on the left there! :D :D Good stuff!

Mine arrived today, what a beatiful knife!

Thanks to all involved!

I hope to be able to shoot better pics later.

Mine came with a nick in the backspring and gaps between spring and liner. That was disappointing, but the wood looks great and there aren't any dings on the blades. The walk and talk are very nice and the pattern is really cool.

Weird bite out of my shield on one side. Otherwise I very much like everything about it.

Mine came yesterday and it was well worth the wait! I like how light colored the wood on mine is. Really makes the dark streaks stand out. Thank you so much Charlie and Eric and everybody else involved. I couldn't be happier with mine and really appreciate all the hard work that went into this process.

Love my two 2015 knives. Many thanks to the people that did the heavy lifting to make it happen this year, and to Canal Street for making a cool knife.

I tried a youtube video. Let's see if it works...

Open the sheepsfoot and try ;), I thought I was the only one that did that. If you have a Buck 303, open the clip blade and it'll spin for 30 seconds or more. Great idea for the youtube review, I have a feeling we'll see some more as a result of your's. ;)

Yeah, it spins like a top with the sheepsfoot open, too. Just another feather in the CSC cap to add to their legacy.

Jake, those are some really unique covers you've got there. I like em!
Rob, thanks for the video. That makes the anticaption for mine that much worse.
It is going to be a long weekend building up to Monday which is when mine (lord willing) should arrive.

Here's mine:

It's rainy here, and the light made it hard for me to capture the color variations in the grain. But to me the mark side looks like smoke in the woods, and the pile side looks like a woodblock print of a map.

I was hoping for crazy grain, and I got crazy grain. The knife feels good in-hand, long and slim but not delicate, and it disappears like a smooth, slender ghost in my pocket.

It actually came last week, but there was a nick in the blade from the backspring. I took it to my friendly local knife sharpener, and he sharpened out the nick and ever so gently rounded the apex of the backspring so the problem wouldn't recur. I just got it back today, and I love it!

Many, many thanks to the folks who put in the work to design, wrangle, package, ship, and of course actually make these beauties. It's a bittersweet swan song for CSC indeed, but a good one.

I received my 2 2015 Forum Knives during the 1st week of shipment. For various reasons I have been slow to get some photos of the knives.
I have been reading and looking every day in this thread, keeping up with everyone's photos and their opinions of the knives in general. I will
say this I could not be more pleased with the 2 knives that I received! They are beautiful examples of American Craftsmanship. With the closing
CSC, I might add, one less source of this kind of craftsmanship. Are these knives perfect? No, by no means are they perfect. But they are darn
close. I want to thank Eric and all the other employees of CSC for their efforts on these knives. I also want to wish them all success in the
future and I pray that they all will find employment to their liking very soon. Thanks to Barry, Charlie, Liam and any other forum members that
had a hand in the process of bringing our 2015 Traditional and Fixed Blade Forum knife to be!
