2015 Forum Knife Photos

Just got one of 2, i love it thank you so much to everyone involved i will post more pics when the next arrives hopefully itll be sunny for good pics

Holy smokes! That looks like a topographical map. Just gorgeous.

I expected the pile side to be different, but when I scrolled down lo and behold they matched it. :D

I missed out on the BF knife, alas, but have enjoyed looking at everyone else's. I gotta say, seas165's is the most appealing I've seen yet, what with the matched swirls/knotholes on the covers. Congrats on finding that one in your mail!

I am very happy with it, i got my second one, it got shipped to my house not my work, luckly i live half a mile away. The second is plain grain, no swirls but thats fine with me i got everything i could want in the first one

Gotta love the variety wood scales provide. No two alike. Makes me want one even more.

Wow, just wow, that is the most unusual that I've seen yet. It almost looks like abalone, and perfectly matched... WOW. :)

Birdseye pivots belong in a bird's nest... ;)

I guess this applies here as well as the carry thread.

Ted, the contrast between the orange-ish wood and the dark black swirls looks outstanding!
And I agree, they did an excellent job at matching scales. I've yet to take a pic of the other side, but it is almost identical other than I small knot.

Beautiful, crazy wood on that one!

Might be your best photo of yours yet! Looking good!

I got mine in today, but sadly I'm not thrilled with it. Such is life. Not going to dwell on it, nor will I nitpick it here. It will probably end up going to someone who will appreciate it more than me. I'm still very thankful to everyone involved who made this happen, it's such a cool thing that we do here!

Got my 2nd today it's supposed to be a gift. Anyone else get a really lazy spring? It's weak to the point I don't think it's safe to use.

I got mine yesterday. Thanks to all that had a hand in bringing this year's knife into being including members that provided input into the final design.

Now for the details. Mine came with a minor bit of recurve on the main blade, not a biggie for me. Swedges and grinds are perfect and it came very sharp. Construction is darn near perfect. No gaps, no blade contact with spring, no blade play, no blade rub, pins and shield perfectly flush with handles. Mine is one of the lighter colors with little grain on the mark side but more on the pile side. Still a very pretty knife. The only negative for me is a slightly irregular shield. I know that Canal Street struggled with the shield and I'm certain that if there wasn't the pressure to complete the order before the sad sunset, the knives wouldn't have gone out this way. This is a real shame but it bothers me far less than I thought it would.

I love the knife and it went right into my pocket. Thanks again to all, especially to Eric and Canal Street. Good job.
