BrotherJim, nice pocket sheath.

If I decided to pocket carry, I would want one of those. ;)

My one and only.

The fit and finish is some of the best I've ever seen. Not even a sliver of light passes through the liners/ back spring. The pivot and pins are extremely flush. This is one of my biggest complaints with most of my slip joints and other pinned knives because I know how easy it is achieved but so often overlooked. The blades are tight as can be with pretty good walk and talk. The grain is pretty neutral. I had hoped for wild, but I'm really digging how these came out.
I do have a bit of a recurve on both blades, but they are easily over shadowed by everything that is just right about this knife.
Considering it is a production knife I couldn't be happier!
As if it hasn't been said 1000 times already, thanks to everyone who had a hand in this knife and packaging. Y'all knocked this one out of the park!

Mine shows light with the blades closed. Shows even more with either open. So far no one else has mentioned a nick in the backspring. I might be the only one so far.

If people around here start getting annoyed by photos of knives, we might as well shut the whole thing down. :D :D

While coon-fingering my BF Jack last night, it hit me what a difference the use of a single "color" of metal makes. The fact that the liners, pins, shield, and blade are all the same color really lets the character of the wood shine through.

There are lots of good aesthetic choices in this knife, but this aspect is one of my favorites.

Wow Ted, the grain on your knife is so special and the pics just keep getting better and better.
Mine should be here tomorrow, I sure will be happy if it has covers like yours.

It's certainly an excellent example of bocote, it has everything, lines, contrast, swirls and grain, I'm extremely pleased with this years knife and am grateful for all the blood ;), sweat and tears put into this year's knife by this years all volunteer committee. Kevin, (Sparks) even commented on another site how great this year's knife came out.

I'll second that sentiment, and add that each knife has scales that seem especially well-matched--something I really appreciate from the fine folks at CSC.

Ted You sure you don't have SEVERAL examples of the new Forum Knife??:D:D Those pix certainly keep showing better and more complex grain, that last one is sensational.

Regards, Will

Very nice indeed! I am amazed by the variety of grains on the bocote handles!
Thanks! The variety truly is amazing, I think it gives each knife a character of its own.

Also I noticed that I fumbled by showing the mark side twice instead of shooting a pic of the pile side too [emoji5] So here's another pic of the pile side, regrettably with less sunshine to flare up the color of the bocote.
