2015, the snarkiest year yet!

Get a piece of ranger band, wrap the zippo in that. It keeps it for MUCH longer. Or do like I do and keep a tin of fluid in my bag.

Figures... I have some flammable liquid in my EDC bag... but its in a flask for drinking :D

Man you must have some BAD luck LOL, once he left i started reading up on the lighter and it seems most people have great luck with them. I love how they look and work... But man the price tag is steep for a lighter. Even if i knew 100% that it would work flawlessly thats still a steep price.

I have used one of the zippos with the pipe insert and it worked very well. And took butane so thats a plus. I have horrible luck with regular zippos. They always dry up on me and just plain dont work when i need them to.

I got a decent vector lighter a while back and only used the expensive fuel and still had issues with it. It supposedly has a great warranty but after shipping to and from im just like screw it. I think i paid 35 bucks for it... Not worth it to me.

Id like a good refillable, reliable lighter but Bics are just so EASY lol.

I'm not convinced I have bad luck. I think that when you pay 100+ for a lighter and it sucks, some people don't want to admit it sucks and tell everyone it's spectacular. it's great when it works. The biggest problem is that it gets hard to light, and if the wind blows slightly in the next county, it goes out and only lights back when the wind stops. To be fair, it probably works great indoors. I wouldn't know. I don't smoke my pipes or cigars inside.

For some reason, when I read that I pictured someone wearing animal-print spandex pants over pink underwear. I either need a nap, a drink... or electroshock therapy. Maybe all three.

Read the GAW Thread...... I can make fun and have a good time with just about anything. But sometimes, its nice to be respectful and keep the snark from snarkin.. So, have a drink, take a nap, or if you need electroshock, maybe there's some here that's that would be able to help you out. Like throw a toaster in your shower. Whatever we can do to help! :D

.........and before you get your panties in a wad,........SNARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

26 balmy degrees here in E TN and it may hit single digits tonight. You northern cats need to take this awful cold air back up there where it belongs :grumpy:

Ran three miles in 27 degrees and snow this morning. I won't be running tomorrow.

The zippo is especially nice since zippo came out with their new odorless, tasteless fluid. And it lights in the wind.

For pipes, the Zippo is my favorite. Thanks for the heads up on the new fluid. I'll pick some up. I just keep fluid with my smoke kit so my lighter won't dry up. For cigars, it's hard to beat the $4 Ronson butanes as far as bang for buck.

Used my new Ka-bar kitchen knives to chop ham, onion, and garlic for soup. Good stuff.

8F here right now, and headed lower.

4 growlers left. If you've been on the fence, now's the time!

My favorite little trucker buddy came by the new shop today to pick up and take a ride on his new trike, lol, he was happy as could be as long as he was a rollin, if you stopped to try to get a pic, he was less than photogenic. :D

GSOM, got the liner material today. That will be perfect and it's very much appreciated.
You are very welcome.
They finally came out with an OD green version of the full sized Flipside wallet. I emailed the company back in 2013 asking about an OD green version but they told me it wasnt likely. But the new 3X one has more capacity and the color i want. Plus they are made less than an hour from here.

I can tell what state you're in by the Wawa card in the first frame of the video ;).

Glad to see you got it Granite!

It's awesome. I was showing it off at the Moosehead Trail Trading Post today in Palmyra, ME (where it is currently -15°F). They were suitably impressed. It has a nice heft to it.

Like the Gunyon says, those small fart Ronson's are pretty good for the money, even for twice the price they'd be worth it. Same place (as well as CVS) you can get these for less than $4 (with a refill bottle to boot!):

Finally finished up my MIL's Christmas gift. Imma wait to send it, tho - her birthday's in 2 weeks. I think the knife will be for Christmas, the little cutting board for her birthday.

I have some more pics that I'll post in the BH knife making thread. IWHAF, you really need to get some pics of your sweet blade in there, too.

Yes, but you love us :D

I kinda have to. You guys and the Pirates are the only ones who'll put up with me ;)

Knew I could count on you rascals! :D Have I asked you yet what it would cost to build one of those trike trailers to fit me?

Don't forget a beard holder on that trike. :D

Oooooh... My custom mini-grip scales are ready!
But the knife is 150mi from me... Better get on that. :-/

The next time you post it probably will be!!

I almost spit out some coffee with that one. Well done. Good thing there is snow outside, that burn is deep.

I've been really busy at work, and when not busy at work, being as utterly lazy as possible.
