That's cool. Johnsonville is right in my back yard and I've never seen that truck!

Cutting boards are cool...

So, I just tried Limburger cheese today. Always hear the horror stories about it. Ehh, it does smell terrible, like soured feet really. But it doesn't taste to bad. Its pretty good on summer sausage actually. Anybody else ever try it?

Holy sweet Jesus! That cutting board was gorgeous!

I know, right? Can't figure out how to post the vid directly but the link is worth clicking on.

Stuff like that sometimes tempts me to invest in a router, a surface planer and nice bandsaw... boards like that sell for good money, too.

damn.
I've done 3 cutting boards, and even just the basic ones are quite satisfying if you have some pretty pieces of wood.

... cry.
I'm happy just when my work stands come out square and don't wobble; ecstatic if the angle cuts are flush. ;)

Well yeah, but if you watch the vid, he's not really doing anything particularly advanced. It's mostly a matter of "measure twice cut once" and following his templates. The only angle involved is a 90. I'm not saying it's "easy", mind you. Simple but elegant.

If you google around for images, there are some geometric/mosaic/parquet-looking boards that are pretty crazy... there's a bit of math and layout involved in that stuff...

Yep, pretty tasty. A lot of the stinky cheeses are actually delicious. Just have to get over the initial olfactory impact. So what's next?

Never ate stinky cheese myself but I do know a funny story about that.

Dude was telling me one time about when he was in the navy. They pulled into port overseas once and a guy bought some stinky (and expensive) stinky cheese. It was in the fridge stinking to high heaven and everyone though it had turned so they hucked it overboard. The guy was pretty pissed.

I understand how that could happen.

Haha... I was perusing Fine Woodworking last night. Looks like I'm about to get sucked back in this evening.

do not google images for 'stinky wood router'!!

Love weird cheeses. My mother use to have a customer on her mail route that would always give her a big ol tub of stinky goat cheese. So good... Also the grocery store I frequent has a deli section with different, unique, and local cheeses and they always have a wide variety of samples sitting out. Its fun to give to the kiddos and see their reactions lol.
