2016 forum knife ordering thread - SOLD OUT

And the punch is the only part I was hesitant about. Size is exactly my ideal length. It's not any thicker than a 77 Barlow. Just great great. I cannot cay enough good things about it.

All sold! Thank you everyone, and watch out for that punch blade!!! :):):):)

I admire your perseverance Barry! I hope the ultimate buyer 'fesses up!

This is turning into a cattle run [emoji23]
With all the recent current runs of the Scout "which " I own most and love btw" you'd still think you guys and gals would like something different .
Just saying ?

The classic scout pattern has four blades which include a main blade, a bottle opener, a can opener, and an awl. Scouts have a bail attached to one of the bolsters.

Here is a good explanation of the Scout pattern:

I too like the idea of a Scout as the 2017 forum knife. However, we have to keep in mind that a Scout will probably be significantly more expensive. A Scout version of the #35 pattern would probably be at least $40 more expensive than the $115 2016 version. It might be harder to sell these in the same numbers.

I would love to see a scout knife on the #35 pattern (and I'm sure that we will), but as the 2017 forum knife? I don't know. For one thing, we just had half of a scout for the 2016 knife. And I think Travman is right, the cost would be higher, and you probably wouldn't sell as many. I haven't given any thought yet to what I would personally like to see as the 2017 knife, but I don't think my first vote would be for a scout.

Not that I wouldn't buy one if it was a scout. I would. :D

It was significant that the 2016 Blade Forums knife introduced a new pattern that will hopefully be expanded upon. It would be an honor if the 2017 BF knife was also a brand new pattern and this became a tradition.

Thanks once again to Barry, Charlie, Liam, all of GEC. I believe it's OK to say, we appreciate your efforts in making the 2016 Forum knife available. A fantastic knife and a delighted to own.
