Hard to say until it's in hand, but it does look a bit small in proportion to the frame in the pictures. On the other hand, it looks pretty close to the one on my Case Stockman, which I'm finding very useful. Maybe not the best tool for prying, but perfect for unclogging the spout on a tube of glue.

 
I'm glad to see some variety in the punches. I don't think we'll have any fragility related problems with this one though.
 
I'm a little surprised that there not sold out yet after the photos going up of the completed knife. Ether way they won't be available for long that's for sure.Grab em why you can people.:D

To be honest, it seems like GEC completed this order very quickly in terms of both manufacturing time and calendar date. I'm sure sales will catch up when people see them hitting the street (or, er, porch).

This years knife is a real beauty, and I'm diggin on those Indian Trails with the brown covers! Reminds me of nice old Cattaraugus or Challenge Cutlery Co. from the early 1900's. Picked up 2 tonight and can't wait till they arrive.

Great work fellers and thanks for making this happen once again, it's always amazing and such a pleasure to see this annual tradition evolve!!! :thumbup:

You won't get any competition from me. Just not my kind of pocket knife. I made my one knife purchase of the year already anyway.
 
I almost said no because it was equal ends and two bladed, but ive recently started to like double ends. atleast unlike last year's shadow, this ones got bolsters. shame about it being a spear tho, almost bought two. hopefully the sfo pans out for me

I agree with you 100% P.S. Has anybody heard when Charlies #35 S.F.O. will be getting shipped?
 
Isn't his a spear, also? I thought I read that somewhere.

Now, if GEC releases a clip version, I'd have to find the money for that, as well.

I definitely could of got it wrong but I could of sworn I read that they both will have the Bar Shield the only difference being one has rounded corners and the other has square.
 
It looks a fine knife for those who are fans of the pattern. I like that bone, it has a lot of promise for ageing & wearing in:thumbup::thumbup:

Just not in need of any more punches.

The only thing I would have changed about the forum knife is I would have liked squared corners(?) instead of the more rounded bolsters.
The anticipation is really getting to me. The bone turned out excellent!
 
Well, when I talked to Bill last week, I thought I would have some in hand by today. :D However, as these things go, GEC didn't ship me any until Friday, :grumpy: so I am anxiously awaiting the first portion of the order. :confused::confused::confused:

Here's the up-town low-down on the shipping: I will only be receiving a portion of the order on Monday, (assuming the shipment doesn't take the scenic route, and I don't know how many I will get when I get 'em), so I will start shipping the 2016 BF knife in the same order as I received the orders from you, beginning early next week. I will send all that I can before I run out of energy and/or product. :rolleyes:

Here's the rub: GEC is closed the first week of October, so the rest of the order won't ship to me until the following week sometime. :eek: This means I won't be able to complete shipping during the interim, so some of you will have to wait. :mad::mad::confused::o:( Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes! :o

As soon as I get them in, and before I ship even one knife, I will post photos of a handful of random examples for you all to chicken eye!

OK, I'm gettin' excited now!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Dang, I forgot to order several for myself!!!
