One of Spark's rules for the Forum Knife is no profit unless it is his store is selling it.the small profit? IDK
How is smooth different from polished?
The poll would be best if it was knobby v smooth.
That knobby sample needs to be sanded/polished flat down to the bolsters. It has a huge swell in the center and it looks the knobby elk spider mites have gotten to it already. I'm sure some poor guy now has spider mites in his pockets. Knobby elk spider mites are the worst.
I'm a little stuck on the next poll because I am wanting to have visual examples (samples) for everyone before we post it. It's too important of a vote to leave up to our imaginations. Buck has one sample done, but I need the smooth version. As you can see below, we have the knobby sample done, and to add insult to injury, a beautiful ironwood example. We needed these sooner, which is why I'm going to hold off on the next poll until I have samples ready. All options need representation.

I am surprised that no one has commented that both sample knives appear to have three blades since both the sheep foot and spey blade are visible. Most likely, their stock 301's were used for this example.
Pins are up for vote in the next round of polls, I believe. Or one of the next rounds, however that plays out.I notice that there are no pins, not even a center pin. Are the forum knives going to be built this way as well? A skeleton with the covers simply glued on? I remember when a forum knife prospect was required to be fully pinned like the old traditional knives were, with center pins and cover pins. Times sure have changed.
