I'm letting my imagination run wild here - with SK Blades help we could do a "Blade Forums Traditional Buck Knife Hunters Package". For about $200 - $250 you gents (and the rest of us too) could have it all - never have a need for another knife - a do everything package with a Buck 118 fixed blade, a 110 Folding Hunter, and a 303 (or 301) Stockman. We'd be in knife heaven! These are old and used but you get the idea, except fresh and new. OH

I would be in for at least 2, 1 for me and 1 for a friend, with the parameters listed above!

What about some Forest Green type covers on the Buck?

301, FFG, CPM-154, Forest Green Delrin or Micarta!

I know I said red earlier, but green would be more unusual, unique, and well..... I do like green. Brown might be a good color too.

My very first folding knife many years ago was a Buck. I love watching the patina on 1095 change over time, but it is some work to maintain. Upgraded stainless on a Buck folder would be most welcome.

Here is the special box that Buck can offer for this run, if chosen. Can laser etch the BF logo on it and all the specs of the knife on the side. It would add something like $5-7 to the cost of the knife (Mod. hope that's okay to say, let me know)

That is way cool, as is that sweet burlap micarta handle!

Wow. That's sweet. Regardless of what we decide, Buck has impressed me tremendously, and though I possess some of their knives already...I'll be looking to acquire more.

I won't go too much into it (in this forum), but the knife that belongs in that box is high on my list if Powerball ever cooperates.

As it stands, a 301 (or 303) with 20cv tops my list until other contenders are presented.

I honestly can't think of anything GEC could present to top this.

It is a shame the 501 didn't generate more enthusiasm but I do like the idea of upgrade steel on a 301. I really do like that presentation box.

Something else to throw in the mix, I know that the dot stamp is an important part of the history and tradition of your BF knives leading up to this one. I've asked Buck about stamping and it doesn't look like CPM20CV will be something that can be stamped, it's just too tough of a material.

Steels most acceptable for stamping: CPM-154, 154CM, 440

Not acceptable for stamping: S30V, S35VN, CPM20CV

Solutions for the dot stamp on the harder steel knife options:
- Have it on the medallion.
- It can be engraved.
