Thank you very much AF. The Paul Alexander knife is the Ikuchi (EE-COO-CHEE). Wheel Flipper, Compression Lock, CPM-S30V, Carbon Fiber/G10 Laminate. 3-3.25" Blade per Mr. Alexander.

That Tropen looks boss, not exactly a knife I have any real use for but why should that be a deterrent? Reminds me a lot of the Szabo which I kept meaning to pick up until it was sold out everywhere.

Well I think Rike's design looks better. If Rike can dial in the detent perfect, the knife can drop shut EZ.

The Kapara looks like a winner with a price that is not too bad. Looks to be on my must-buy list.

Are they both pm steels? Will Rex be a little tougher, with the lower chromium and higher silicon content?
I am not sure. I would think that they are, but I am not definite.

Edit to add: from cursory research, it does seem that they are both PM steels.

Don't feel too bad about it. It's a cool knife, I am glad I got one (late) but just for gimmicky sake, the lock is....ehhhhhhhh at best. And nobody apparently told the factory that being able to cut yourself on the liners is something you want in the knife (I went along all the inner edges because everything was annoying sharp where it shouldn't be.)
