2019/2020 winter kith

Mine will be finished once I get back to my shop I have been away for a while. Nice to hear guys are finishing them up

I've got mine all forged out and mostly ground. I still need to heat treat and finish sanding then put a handle on it. I'm hoping to be done the begining of next week.

I'm going to have to drop out. The new shop has taken all my time. Once the equipment is installed, I'll be back up and running. Kudos to all you who have finished.

I have about five edc knives ready for handles. I’ll pick one of them, or maybe I’ll do a WIP on one being made in my workshop group.

I just did a simple little guy. Mango that broke off a tree in my back yard a couple of years ago in hurricane Irma, that I stabilized in cactus juice, and cpm-154. Still need to clean it up and make a sheath. I hope it finds a good home soon.

Bevels ground, first set of swooped plunges done, correct thickness all the way around, here it is getting ready to have the tang tapered.

UFC fights really delayed any shots, sorry about that but here is a WIP on the sanding. This is knife #2 for me, so I will submit for review before officially "entering".

Feedback is appreciated, dreaming of scale themes.

Here it in in natural light, this was the side that was unsanded. Should have probably left a belt finish on the bevels - if i mess up the finish, i'll create another and use a scotchbrite belt on the bevels & hand sand the flats. (Unusual rain spout in AZ, so had to get my extension cord out of the rain, should have done that before taking pictures, lol).

The chase for that mechanical perfect finish.....Stopping point was both sides up to 400 - one side started on 600, will go to 800 then drop back down. Do you think its best to finish the bevels or flats first on final pulls?

I was just curious, with the world shutting down due to the coronavirus and all, are we at all considering pushing back the completion deadline, or are we still business as usual?

Handle forecast: Ivory G-10 with a chance of Cherry Red G-10 Liners, don't forget the brass pins.

Initial glue up - profiling - and bolsters shaped. Bolsters will get a beautiful chamfer before glue up.

Tomorrow i get to practice and learn buffing (will buff the bolster chamfers) and work on glue up.

DustinY DustinY Awesome progress! Looking forwards to final results! Handle material combo = nice choice . Mosaic pins would pimp things even further, but may not be Your cup of tea

I hoped that there may be a prolongment of deadline.. I will ship the blades to HT today. If not, I am probably out.
