So, Glitter Gold acrylic with a banana shield it is then!

I kid. :p (but I'd probably buy it)

Right now, smooth wood has my vote. It is hard to vote for bone without knowing the jigging styles and colors that we might choose from. I am rather fond of bone (jigged and smooth) but I am pretty picky when it comes to color and texture.

Smooth wood is reliably going to be awesome, regardless of species. I even am quite fond of walnut, which many might find rather mundane.
I agree, smooth wood is the safest choice.

I like that we can vote right away, to get a general idea where folks are leaning, but can change our votes as we look at mock-ups or new information comes in.

I'm stuck on the Jobillo! Thank you Waverave.

Nice! I just went searching for an image for an 86, but couldn’t find one. Can we get the option to add a bail or lanyard hole?

Also, you guys are boring. How about Micarta or even acrylic?

I'm going to give this a little more thought, regardless of the results of the vote, I am in for one.

This is tough because I prefer jigged bone, but I don't like sawcut and there are plenty of sawcut fanatics here so a vote for jigged bone could end up being a vote for sawcut. I really want some jigged autumn bone - that 92 posted by Sabercat above is dreamy! Not sure if autumn bone comes in a smooth option from GEC? Whereas I can always jig smooth wood or bone to my liking. Hmm. waverave waverave waiting to see you work your priceless magic on these options!

Sorry, that's the next poll. I have not been told of any prohibited jigging patterns; although many of the standard rules will apply. I would not expect primitive bone, soup bone, any culpepper bone, or any bone they haven't made in a couple years (because they usually stop making it for a reason).
Thanks Mike.
Hoping for a random pattern jigging option.

I agree that some woods are a safe choice (ebony, blackwood), but some aren't so safe.

Even if it's not the perfect jigging we've all come to admire, I wouldn't exactly call jigged bone a risky choice.

I figure many of us lobby for GEC to produce a knife with that great jigging again, and this may be the best shot we've got to convince them. This won't be a huge run, and we have their undivided attention.

Bone Jigged - Antique Yellow just like on Charlie’s Rope Knife! :D
Yeah baby!
I sure would be bummed if it turns out to be available but we didn't know it before this poll closes.
Smooth Ebony Wood. Classic, Good Looking, and no surprises.
But so boring. Zzzzzzzz:rolleyes:
They might as well put plain black acrylic on.
Satin of course, for that aged look.;):D
