Can't believe I missed this one. After seeing the finished product Im really regretting not following this thread more. Congrats to those that had more patience than me!

Looks like this years build is going to be a winner!
Plenty of Spam at our local Costco!

Whew, Gary, when I first your photo and before I read the post, I thought: Gary wins the most Spam in the cupboard contest. Glad to see I was wrong. :)

Big question is what do you do with Spam after you slice it? That stuff's not edible is it? Maybe patch a shoe sole? Have a can patiently waiting in the pantry, I think Dad brought it home after WW2, should still be good.
Spam is quite delicious. I had a can in the pantry for a couple of weeks in anticipation of receiving this knife, but I couldn't wait any longer. I opened it earlier this week and have been having some for breakfast, along with scrambled eggs and Tabasco sauce. Yum yum!

LOL! I rarely eat the stuff nowadays. My palate is more refined, my Doctor is a stickler, and my bank account is much healthier!:D;)

Oh yeah I get it....he meant S#!T...bit like FORD...found on rubbush dump....anyway keep this amongst yourselves but I know of a place where they have New Zealand faux spam...apparently its their official national dish and is sent around the world anywhere Kiwis go to make them feel at home...Now dont quote me on this but there arent a lot of swine in NZ....or in spam for that matter...which makes me wonder if it has anything to do with the NZ Fur seals population decline....This little fella is an orphan washed up on the coast amongst the wreckage when the spam tanker NZ mv Auckland Spanker ran aground last year...probably clinging to the can that was once its mother! I ask you...could you eat baby seal blubber?...because thats what its made of!....

I be getting some to join the party
Yeeeezsh! This just got a whole lot worse....I always wondered what they did with the wattles and combs off the Turkey...and the toenails and beaks...

Geez, guys. It's a cat. I've seen her eat mice, moths, lizards, etc. By FDA guidelines, spam is allowed no more than twenty percent of those ingredients by weight, so it would be an improvement.

Actually, she probably won't touch the stuff anyway. Lately she will only deign to eat the catfood that comes in the tiny expensive cans, and then only the stinky fish flavored varieties.

A mate of mine s brother worked with a bloke who knew this guy whos neighbour bought a can a spam a few years back...well...and apparently its true...when his Mrs opened it up...there was human finger in there....or was it rodents tail? One of the two....or it migh have been a live wasp....or was it an eyeball and it blinked....true story...he reckoned.:thumbsup:o_O

We actually ate it quite often, growing up back in the late 50's-60's... I think my parents were just trying to keep two growing boys semi-full, and Spam was a good way to do it. We had Vienna sausages, potted meat, and "baloney" sandwiches, too. One of our favorite treats was to get to go to the Dixie Dog drive in, for corn dogs and ice cold root beer in frosty mugs...
I seem to have survived it. Probably stunted my growth, though....

Sounds like the place has morphed into a Canned Meat Collectors Forum since I last looked ;):eek:

Corned Beef is good, very good in fact:thumbsup: Plus it's more Traditional than this Spew stuff you all seem so besotted with :D

Anybody got their Forum Knife yet?;)

Never had SPAM. Now I'm gonna have to get a can to try. ;) Of course, I will not slice it with the forum knife, just try it. The forum knife will be a user for me though. That guy is gonna cut rope, boxes, food, carve wood, etc. My stuff doesn't die in the box/tube.

UPDATE

As we suspected, the knives will start shipping from the factory today. The first knives will go directly from the factory to international members. One note; the factory will produce a new invoice solely for customs that shows the purchase price only. It will not include the additional shipping charge just to keep things simpler. For the same reason, your original receipt will not be included.

It looks like the rest will come to me in at least three shipments with the last leaving the factory next Wednesday. I will ship what I receive in the sequence the order was placed originally. So, please be patient.

These are dropping during THE busiest week of the year, but I do not anticipate any delays. On the other hand, the USPS has been a day or two slower since the first of the month.
Hey Mike quick question when you say they will be shipped in the sequence the order was received does that mean the order is in who payed first ? :D I think that would be the most fair lol.
