I have never seen a non-GEC branded knife given the PPP etch.

Thanks for clarifying that, Mike. (I had been wondering, since our 2017 knife had both Tidioute and BladeForums stamps. I think Bill insisted on that because of the TC bolster?)

The 2016 BladeForums knife (#35 Drover) had the PPP etch. (Though it did have both the BladeForums stamp and a "Great Eastern Cutlery, Titusville, PA" stamp.)

That's my second learned something new for the day.

Just idle curiosity on my part. It would eventually get covered by a patina anyways.
I was mostly asking for the folks that won't be using theirs.

I say leave the PPP etch up to GEC. Not every knife in the same new release pattern will get a PPP etch. It has to do with which is run first. Since this run will have several different configurations it would be a pita to sort out now which is first. Just let it happen... If the Bladeforums knife is first produced it will get the PPP etch, if it's not it won't.
