if its Northfield trim i dont see how it gets PPP.

I think the knives made bear the end of a run are best since they have perfected the assembly and finishing of the pattern.
 
I voted Northfield and I am hoping that the voting goes the way of match striker for the pull. Love me some match striker pulls!
I'm easy to please. I like long pulls, and don't have any strong feelings on whether they are match striker or not. I don't mind nail nicks either. As long as we don't have match striker nail nicks. :confused: Those make no sense to me. o_O
 
Northfield vote here too, love the long pulls and pinched and/or lined bolsters. A special knife deserves little details that set it above the rest.

Long Sheepsfoot blade with a saber grind - long horizontal lines - it's gotta have a long pull and a cut swedge - gotta keep parallel lines otherwise it'll look all weird. I'm not a big cut wedge fan - likes to catch on things, like the skin of my hand, but the way this knife is going, it's Northfield or an unsightly mess of diverging geometries.

Northfield! I like nail nicks on sheepsfoot blades, but I think the saber grind calls for a long pull.

Yes, a long pull is very nice on some blades but not so much for a saber ground blade because as you're trying to slice your Spam with the saber ground blade, the long pull will fill with Spam as it passes through the Spam. The same would go for a roll of salami or bologna.
