I think we’re all about to make a very beautiful baby.:eek::p

My "Cooter Shell" acrylic #86 Oil Field Jack came in yesterday. My father opened the package and was playing with it. My Mother will be 79 on DEC. Friday the 13th. She is crazy about anything leopard skin. She told me that she loved my new acrylic leopard skin knife. A mother is never wrong. I added a black buffalo leather KnivesShipFree pocket slip. She bought a wonderful red leather pocket book this year with a perfect pouch for the knife "Tip Up". Everybody is happy !

I believe the wait has been definitely worth it. I was trying to go through all the adjectives that might best describe this year's forum knife and the one that keeps coming to mind is "Exceptional". I wasn't sure about the grind on the blade from the beginning but I believe everything just works.

All this talk of having difficulty sharpening the recurve on this blade had me a little nervous because I had never done this before. Well after two heavy use days in the warehouse I decided to give it a try. I have a work sharp guided sharpening system, and I am happy to report that it was absolutely no problem. I think the fact that it is a very slight recurve and that the diamond plates are relatively narrow the system handled it with no issues.

It is the calm before the storm (of Black Jacks and forum knives).

I forget, was this year's forum knife given a name?

Its such a nice knife I expected it to go almost as popular as the 93. I realize that was pretty unique. I also admit this didn't appeal to me nearly as much until I saw a finished one, and moreso when I got my hands on one. I can't believe they arent sold out everywhere.
