2019 GEC Pemberton Thread

i expect the 2 blades will handle like a 2 blade 14, a lot more to hold on to and not so dainty.

my single blades 06's are like a box cutter they are so sharp.

Yeah, the two blade 06 in muslin micarta is very appealing.

Wow the Peanut doesn't have it by much...just a hair longer than the Pemberton :)

Interesting fact for those that don't know...but the Pemberton name came from Dr. John Stith Pemberton. He was a pharmacist in the late 19th century and is best known as the inventor of Coca-Cola :)

My wife is related to Bob Woodruff's (he and a group of investors bought Coca Cola in 1919, he was president of the company from 1924 unit 1954) wife Nell. The Emory University School of Nursing is named for her. His foundation was the primary donor for the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory. Coca Cola runs in our blood...

John Pemberton is on my family tree back there somewhere. Family oral history has it that when John Pemberton was looking for investors, my great great grandfather turned him down. :(
As I mentioned earlier, my last name would be Pemberton had my grandfather not been adopted. It's what sparked my interest in the knife. I already have my white linen micarta, and a stag on the way!

Very cool that you both have some kind of family history with Pemberton...adds to the story and character of the knife :)

Old Engineer Old Engineer - Harry, like you, this one was for the wife's collection. :) Looks great with the 22 mag.
Next time I see your wife , I will ask her how she likes her Pemberton 06 Knife . She should like it . I like the very small flecks of black in the bone . My wife really likes her's . She also has a Stag Pemberton . If I had the time today , I would have posted a picture of my White Bone Pemberton that came in today . Why I ended up with 2 is another story . Of course , I will have to take pictures of both of them together for you or anybody else to believe it . Take care my friend .

My Pemberton arrived the other day. I must say the fit and finish is wonderful. I work in Wigan, England and a large area of the town of Wigan is called Pemberton. I used to step out with a young lady from Pemberton many years ago, so I had to have a Pemberton knife really!
