2020 GEC#47 VIPER RUN

Finally christened my ironwood 47 cutting up a lime last night. It was like cutting through warm butter. So satisfying.

Also, I am loving the factory finish. It begs me to use it. Those of you who polished yours, they turned out beautiful as well! I consider myself very lucky just to have one.
 
This is why I love hanging out at The Porch...

I've always had pretty good luck in the past with Early Reserves or being on my computer when GEC drop emails come through. With this run of 47s I struck out on being able to reserve and missed out on all drops within seconds. This was one run that I was really looking forward to and a pattern I have always wanted.

Was feeling pretty disappointed and frustrated, until a prominent Porch member reached out to me and offered a 47 burlap micarta for retail. The deal went through without a hitch.

I now have a beautiful Viper and a new little friend to adorn my desk!

My stag finally came in. My second GEC and I understand the hype. I just wish they made more of them. If you get your plum in, and think you might want to trade , let me know. I refuse to pay $299 on the bay for a flipper!!

Looking mighty fine Dylan! I’ve yet to experience a 47, but I do have that burlap on a 14. It is some of my favorite cover material.

bax229 bax229 Congrats! I’ve been blown away a couple times myself with Porch brotherhood. Always cool to read that it’s alive and well. :thumbsup:
 
Not sure what gallery thing you’re talking about, select upload a file bottom right middle blue tab. I also think not being a paid member you can’t.
