2020 Northwoods Indian River Jack Thread

I'm a sucker for micarta, so the choice was easy for me. Glad I was able to pick up the last GEC Northwoods model being made for the foreseeable future.

why do several of you keep saying this? where are you getting that they won't be making them?

GEC stated a while back they were suspending all SFOs. This was taken to mean all knives they make for other companies as well. No one knows if it's a temporary halt, or permanent. GEC hasn't confirmed.

Northwoods knives may continue to be made, but it's possible they will be made from another knife manufacturer other than GEC.

Yes, in hindsight I would have gone for one but I went in dead set on a yellow

Knowing a member missed out on the yellow camel bone so some jerkoff can try to sell it for $450 on the auction site really chaps my hide. For what it's worth, the listing was reported and pulled for not having the knife in their possession before trying to sell it.

I tried for several, at check out they were gone. Then when I finally got to a point that checkout was working I got a Apple Pay address mismatch problem. No luck today be but It was fun to try.

I really wasn't expecting the Kudu to look so phenomenal! Absolutely gorgeous stuff! I can't bring myself to buy knives in giraffe bone, but I'm definitely adding kudu to my list of cover material I gotta own.

I'm also really happy to see how well the pins ended up on all of these so far! It seems like I see a lot of cracking when companies work with really old, natural material like mammoth. Two thumbs up!

Keep posting those pics so I can live vicariously through you guys, lol. :D
