2021 Forum Knife FAQ's

Just for curiosity I quickly went back through the initial count thread. Assuming one post per person, there were approximately 596 takes in that thread. Based on past history some will not fulfill those, but there will also be others who missed that thread who do want one. Not sure that “GEC is making up to 500 knives” will cover the demand here, so I’ll be curious how the ordering process accounts for that.

You have to participate in a no holds battle royale to gain a spot on the list. That always thins down the looky loos.
 
I am not sure how the powers that be will be handling the process this time but I do know that the last few years have seen us rather spoiled. GEC or not, there has been a window where everyone put their names and knife count in the thread and then the mods go through and facilitate the purchase. The order was not placed with the manufacturer until money changed hands and a count was established.

I don't know how it will work this go around - it is the not-so-enviable job of the facilitators and mods to get it sorted. If it's anything like the last few years though, everyone who wants a knife will get one (with limitations, of course).
