2021 GEC 05 Keychain knife

I am still anxiously waiting for mine. Mailed the 19th

The USPS has it going from Sulphur, OK to Oklahoma City, then in transit a couple of days, then on to Sacramento, CA. Why Sacramento when I am in Illinois I have no idea. It left Sacramento Regional Distribution on Saturday the 24th so maybe it'll head my way now.

EDIT: After showing in transit since the 24th it now shows Leaving Sacramento Regional Distribution AGAIN on the 26th. Supposedly in transit to the next destination again.

Judging by the photos, there was a missed opportunity to stick a bottle opener on these. What do owners think about a secondary blade?
I see NO needs for a second blade for me . I really have very few plans to ever carry either of mine . I basically saw them as a means to get closer to my Goal of XX number of Great Eastern Cutlery Stag handled knives and a Goal of XX number of Stag handled knives . I have a few other knives to carry to use . I also needed at least One PPP Bladed knife for my collection . But I am very glad that I have the ones that I do .

Picked up this one since my first one wasn't all that great. Only issue is a small dent in the liner which I've never seen before on a GEC.

I put a titanium split ring on it, and it's going on my keys.

I'm new to gec - but that should have never made it out of the factory ?
Probably not, but GEC is not immune to QC issues. Probably 30% of my GECs have minor defects. They do have a good warranty service though, and they should fix the issue if you send the knife to them, but you'll probably be waiting for a month to get it back. Alternatively, you can file down the kick to try to fix it yourself.

GEC - here are some ideas for a 2022 Model (and beyond !)

2022 Clip Point - Autumn Gold Jigged Bone

2023 Laser (in the 1.21 Gigawatts range) - King Wood

2024 Grappling Hook - Blood Red Saw Cut Bone

Seriously, will there be a 2022 model ?

FINALLY Here; only took six days past the estimated delivery date.

Decent if somewhat smooth stag, nice coloring and character matching well on bots sides. The blade is centered well. I like it; a lot.

This will go into a watch pocket so the leather strap is coming off. I may or may not eventually dress the ring hole end down but probably not.

Thought I would get mine today but it now shows in transit, delivery delayed. Oh well, maybe Monday.

Now not Monday, The USPS has it going from Sulfur, OK to Oklahoma City, then in transit a couple of days, then on to Sacramento, CA. Why Sacramento when I am in Illinois I have no idea. It left Sacramento on Saturday the 24th so maybe it'll head my way now.
Well, I sent a knife to my son, both locations in Louisiana, and it went through Spokane, WA. Lol

Last night, I got back from a trip to find a DHL "delivered at the neighbors" notice. It was too late to ring their bell, so I had a long wait today until they returned home form work. When they did, I got these two little guys! I like them; the blades are a little more stout than the small Victorinox knives. Fit and finish is good. The sheepsfoot is a little darker and more figured and the pen is a little lighter and more smooth. The smooth one is considerably thicker. Not the best stag in my collection, but I am pleased with both. Hard to procure these GECs in Europe, so I am psyched I was able to get one of each!
