2021 GEC 05 Keychain knife

This is my first stag. I like it. I will likely clip it to the key leash in one of my bags. I no longer have a Vic classic (hmm, where DID that go?) but I have an Opinel No. 4 for size comparison.

These aren’t mine; they belong to Mrs. Crappie. Probably the last time I’ll get my grubby hands on them! I think It’s nice looking stag.

Now I guess I also have a key ring knife rotation (05, classic, LB1, manbug).

BTW- 05 does have a half-stop.

Thanks for the pictures. The 05 isn't too tiny, compared to a Vic Classic which almost everyone, even knife-muggles, carry on keychains.

It occurred to me: if it came with a slot for tweezers, that would be my breaking point and I wouldn't be able to resist hunting one down. ;)

Wow. Smaller than I thought. (That’s what she said)
Now I may be getting buyers remorse.
We’ll see what it looks like Saturday.

It‘s pinky-finger sized. For a short time, I did ask myself, “what am I thinking”. But I got over it and am pleased with the purchase. Ran over the strop a few times and is good to go.

You are welcome. Try for a smooth one to scrimshaw = one of a kind.

This little one showed up today 2 days early and I really like it .

It compliments it's brother fairly well .

I just had to compare this pair of 05's to my Case Small Stockmans in Mammoth Tusk that a Daughter gifted me some time back before the Mammoth Craze hit . I have always thought that the Case were too small ?????

I very much like having all 4 of them in my meager collection .

Those two certainly do look very decent Harry

If somebody were to give me one I'd obviously be delighted :D But I would not be delighted if I had to shell out 150 USD for it and wait weeks to get it..

Have to wonder how durable Stag would be on a keychain if actually used and kept there for months? All that metal jangling against it, plus I often DROP my keyring.....Couple of years back, I had a knife that can't be shown here- Kershaw- on the office keyring, it certainly got roughed up on that and was looking not so good in a short time.

Very nice! There's been some talk about lack luster stag on this run but to me the smooth look is just fine with a smaller knife. Maybe I would feel different if it was a #23 sized slab of smoothed out stag
Thanks! It's different for sure and unique. On
something this small I would be ok with anything honestly. But I'm very happy with the smooth sides and color.

Thought I would get mine today but it now shows in transit, delivery delayed. Oh well, maybe Monday.

Now not Monday, The USPS has it going from Sulfur, OK to Oklahoma City, then in transit a couple of days, then on to Sacramento, CA. Why Sacramento when I am in Illinois I have no idea. It left Sacramento on Saturday the 24th so maybe it'll head my way now.

There is a LOT of variation in the stag on these knives. Something for everyone? I like knarly / craggy stag, not smooth, and some of these seem to have that. When it comes to smooth, at what point is stag just bone? Anyway, the stag on these knives is not an issue for me. And I love to see the pics, so TIA for more pics.
