You get warranty work? What was wrong with it?
Yes, a piece of metal (slag from a weld maybe) came loose when I flushed the joint. In the process of flushing that out a bolster became separated and the joint became loose resulting in a fair amount of blade play.
They fixed it up, the action is better than the sawcut I have.

First I’ve seen or heard of anything like that. You got it back pretty quick too. That’s a beauty.

Yeah, definitely a one off. No worries now, in the pocket it goes. I may or may not have put a carving in the return box for Joan Mae. It may or may not have helped getting it fixed, it certainly never hurts to be nice to her. She is good people and helps all of us quite a bit.
 
I have one on the way next week.

I was trying to trade knives for one on FB ,when I was offered one as a straight buy in the UK.

Generally I much prefer trading.

Then someone in the US said he would buy one of my trade knives for the same price as the Barlow would cost me so I could buy it.

What a stunning/kind gesture.
