Yes, a piece of metal (slag from a weld maybe) came loose when I flushed the joint. In the process of flushing that out a bolster became separated and the joint became loose resulting in a fair amount of blade play.You get warranty work? What was wrong with it?

They fixed it up, the action is better than the sawcut I have.

Yeah, definitely a one off. No worries now, in the pocket it goes. I may or may not have put a carving in the return box for Joan Mae. It may or may not have helped getting it fixed, it certainly never hurts to be nice to her. She is good people and helps all of us quite a bit.First I’ve seen or heard of anything like that.
