If it is in fact CS like it says then I'm definitely going to get this one in Kentucky bluegrass bone.
That is a nice green. I've got one from 2000 that I carried daily for a few years, very similar green (but jigged) - pattern looks very nice in green bone. OH

Nice one there.

Btw I think the covers are the same, the jigging just isn't showing up as well in the pictures.

I just ordered the Kentucky bluegrass bone today and will let everyone know if it's SS or CS when it arrives.
There are about 7 different discrepancies among the 25-1/2 from this dealer so I took a real gamble here, I sure hope it turns out to be CS.

I probably could have called them and asked, but went ahead and took a gamble.
I could still get a wrong answer so I decided to find out for myself, besides I get the knife and like the covers enough that it doesn't matter.

My 1979 is CV and my 2000 is SS, I would rate them equal in terms of W&T and F&F. The 2000 gets the nod by having jigged bone handles whereas the 1979 has Delrin. As quality pocketknives you cannot lose either way. Looking forward to seeing your post when you receive the knife. OH

I simply prefer CS and haven't noticed a functional difference in quality or significant difference in edge holding really.
I don't really care for their polished SS blades either, the ground finish I do quite like as far as settling for SS.

CV and  large (4.5 to 5.625 inch closed) I'd be tempted, especially if a two blade.
Small only? I'll pass. I'd druther have a daddy or grand daddy Barlow, or a large coke bottle/swell center.

I like the fact that it's a mini, because large models were often the most common if not only option for this pattern.

Well it seems theres some issues going on with the editing of stock photos, because the knife is SS.

I'm not quite in love enough with the covers to live with the SS blades so I'll probably offer this knife to my dad , I know he'll love it.

I like the covers, but just not enough to live with these polished SS blades.

I actually got mine a couple months ago, but it's just recently started making it's way into my pocket. I really like this knife. For me, it's a Goldilocks size between a peanut (which is so handy to carry) and a Buck 303 (one of my favorite slippies). Now, I'm not sure if I should pick up another before the end of the year. There are a couple sawcut versions that I think subconsciously remind me of the sawcut valox on a Buck but in pretty colors.

My sentiments exactly, right down to the same two other knives you mentioned! I'm leaning towards getting a spare myself. Now if I can just decide which one.

Scotch-brite is your friend.... 😂

à chacun son goût as the French say (to each person his taste). I personally love Case's polished SS blades. That's a great little knife. Very nice coloration and jigging on that small knife. I'd be right there with your Dad, and be delighted with it.

I like Case's "as ground" blade finish, but its not used very often. Polished blades are pretty, but fingerprints bug me like on a stainless refrigerator. Or a DeLorean.
I got this swell center out of the Case Pass Around box that's being passed around. I like it thumb.gif

I don’t think I’ve seen them in this thread yet but has anyone got a purple curly maple or yellow curly oak? Those are the one that have tempted me the most with this release.

So far I haven’t got a new one and just have this one that I’ve now had for 25 years. Sure doesn’t seem that old or that long ago.65376214-EF17-45C8-9D7D-33CEB9BCF08F.jpeg
