They did an excellent job on this run IMHO. I got one and then all of a sudden I had three. I made the India jig bone a user. Feels good in the hand.I was looking to get my first sunfish/elephant toe pattern knife. So, when I had the chance I pull the trigger on this one, even at a considerably elevated dealer price. It will arrive (hopefully) on Tuesday. What is the general consensus (if there is any) about this knife? Mine is jigged India bone variant. I have 3 GEC and they are all perfect to my eye, so I expect similar from this pattern as well. Is there any well know issue with this release?

I hope notOn my india jigged bone, the spring is a little proud at the fully open position. Not sure if this is common or not.
If you are ok carrying a larger knife, the 36 is really a great utility blade. The blade shape and depth makes for a really sharp and easy to cut with tip. The deeper blade also makes it easy to "choke up" on the blade for more control if needed. I have been consistently carrying an ebony since I received it and it sits very well in my pockets. Even though it is a large knife, it is very flat, so it carries easily. The larger blade is easy to pinch open, and you can get a really nice grip on the larger scales when open.I was looking to get my first sunfish/elephant toe pattern knife. This is the exact reason I wanted to try this pattern. The blade shape is also one of my favourites. Overall, this knife suits my needs well.

I expect that you will get it , inspect it , and find nothing wrong with it , and I think you will be surprised with how nice it is .I was looking to get my first sunfish/elephant toe pattern knife. I have all of them and have no issues with any.... I'm a collector that understands that these are nicely made tools and are not jewelry to be inspected under a microscope..... If you dig around enough you can find something to point out..... But they are wonderful knives that are very well worth what you are paying ..... I'd be very surprised if you feel cheated.....

I've been wondering, sort of driving me crazy, why is there "NACB" on the bull shield ?
I know it stands for "North American Cattle Bone" (saw it on the tube label), but why have the initials on this shield ? Are there any other, specifically, Great Eastern Cutlery shields that have initials on them ?
Personally, I think the "NACB" ruins the look of that shield. Without the "NACB" that shield would look 10 times better.
Please tell me so I can sleep tonight ! : )
I feel the exact same way. In person, it does not ruin the shield as much as it does in the pictures because the lettering is so small. It kind of grows on you, or maybe you just ignore it. Though a plain bull would look so much better.
Without the letters... It's just a Bull.
