I agree with you about the way this one handles. It really feels like a fixed blade while using it. The grip fills your hand and is very comfortable to use. Great colors on that one. I like the darker color on that jigged bone.

I do not believe the Ebony has been stained.... You probably received a nice chunk of heartwood.....

Usually "imitation stag" means Delrin, but I guess we need GEC to confirm that

Special Factory Assembly (SFA) Northfield 36. GEC made 25 of these in Ebony and Federal shield that were “S” models. There might have been a few that were not “S” models, but I’m not sure. They also made these in Smooth Ivory bone.
