2022 GEC #36 ElephantToenail/Elephant Toe/Sunfish Thread

I was really hoping for a spearpoint on this pattern. Not sure how I feel about the sheepsfoot, or the elephant shield for that matter.

I was envisioning more of a traditional elephant toe, but this one has growing on me quickly...even the elephant shield.

I am generally a fan of more traditional shield variants but I don't hate the elephant shield. GEC has a history of applying interesting shields on these broad knives - wrenches, pipe wrenches, and saws on the 45s and a big ol' whale on the 46 (which was a Rendezvous knife if memory serves).

It's nice to see GEC doing something tastefully unique - though I am a bit more weirded out by the bareheaded configuration.

So I'm not personally a big fan of the Ebony wood look and that doesn't change my mind at all, but that elephant shield I like!

From the get go the India Jigged Bone is the one that I'm interested in so I'm anxious to see how they are going to look.

Wish that they had used the pipe Wrench shield on the oil field jacks. Not too often do I use an open-end wrench in this business. Maybe they need more room on the cover do to its size? I do like the elephant shield though

Personally, I like dark ebony and I've always been fascinating with these XXL knives. I'm not sure about the sheepfoot but I will definitely try luck.

Can someone give me the rundown on what India Smooth and Exotic India even mean, lol?
