Glad you were able to snag one. This cattle knife has only made me more excitedStrange, I couldn’t find them at any of the dealers, they were all gone last week! I absolutely love them though
That’s one I don’t understand, I know it’s wildly popular, but I never need 3 blades in one knife.Glad you were able to snag one. This cattle knife has only made me more excited
I'm sure that is what Bill thought when he made a bajillion beer scouts, but it only stoked the fire.@chevyrulez1 welcome to the gang, your tale of woe is not new! Hang in there and dont give up!
Imagine this beauty in orange Delrin? Or Knifebrite?
I think Bill Howard got tired of requests for cap lifters and decided that after 2022 no one would ever complain about lack of caplifters ever again!
Um, no. No it’s not im no afraidI don’t own one of these little tools, and don’t know if this works, but it might be a neater way of combining a hex wrench and a bottle opener - if you get thirsty while tinkering![]()
Why on earth would I need to? My 35 has a cap lifter, it’s works great, and looks sooo much better, lol!Have you tried one?
The extra leverage alone makes the 35 a better option, next…Thanks, great input. Next.
How many knives do you carry on a typical day? That’s one I don’t understand, I know it’s wildly popular, but I never need 3 blades in one knife.
One, most always a scout of some sort. How many knives do you carry on a typical day?
Of course and that’s fine. For me though I’ve never needed, or longed for another blade.View attachment 1905446
S Stratkat , everyone has their own preferences whether you understand them or not. Three blade cattle and stock knives have been around forever because many people find them useful. They are about as classic and traditional as you can get with great history.
That's what's so wonderful about having such variety of knives available.Of course and that’s fine. For me though I’ve never needed, or longed for another blade.
I keep one for skin, always finer and sharper than the others. I can make a glassy cut in loose, wet, or crumbly skin. Never used for anything else, ever. I also like an abuse knife for tape and boxes, and finally an EDC edge for everything else. Nowdays, that's a 2 blade Victorinox and another knife, but it has been a 3 blade at times.Of course and that’s fine. For me though I’ve never needed, or longed for another blade.
Nice, personally I find the tools on a scout to be something I don't long for. However use two and three blades on a knife daily. It's very cool that with one platform a cutler can come up with so much variety to satisfy everyone's tastes. One, most always a scout of some sort.
I also find myself carrying 2-3 blades. I miss a second blade when I need to open a box and then peel an apple. Of course, this is only when I have to carry one single knife. I like to have a scout for fruit and tools and a modern for heavy use.Nice, personally I find the tools on a scout to be something I don't long for. However use two and three blades on a knife daily.
