2022 GEC H20 fixed blade

I haven't had the chance to use either the H20 or H30 yet. The H30 was gifted to me by a good friend and it will be my forever backpacking knife. I just haven't had the chance to backpack since I received it last week. The H20 just came yesterday and so I haven't carried it either. From what I can tell of both knives, the fit and finish are superb and the handles seem ergonomic. It will be a pleasure getting to know these knives for many years to come.

When were they released to dealers?
I've looked and it seems I missed out because I'm not in any groups or on any dealer email lists.

I suppose it's for the best because I already have one that I just sent to Glennbad for some Stag scales.
I'd much rather put the money towards having 1 in stag than having 2 in micarta.

Most dealers have already released them but I think there are a few that haven't. I've got several of the H20s and they are fantastic little knives. For a pocket carry fixed blade, kitchen use, and a camping food/cook knife they are awesome.

Would someone who owns one of these be so kind as to measure the diameter of the pins and lanyard tube on these? I just snagged one to use for a rehandle project with some denim micarta I made a while back.

Side note: For anyone interested in these, another batch of them seem to have recently hit the major retailers. Might be worth doing a breeze through the retailers link on the GEC site.

Thank you ! Picked up an orange caping = wharncliffe. Still some left as of this posting. Some retailers are including a sheath. I believe when first offered from GEC a Sheath was not included.

Thank you so much! Beeswax Micarta on the way. My wharncliffe H20 is one of my favorite utility knives, and I've always said I wanted a clip point version of it, so I'm excited to have this chance. Will post pics once it gets here.

I grabbed the same configuration last night as well. Plan to make a sheath and I’m strongly considering rehandling it with some denim micarta I have left over… although that beeswax looks like it’ll age nicely

When I had Glennbad rehandle mine he sent the micarta scales back with it and it was clear that there was a head that's larger than the rest of the pin / rivet.
I don't know what I did with those scales though, so I can't measure the holes.

The head you see is not the diameter of the holes in the tang, so you'll probably just have to go for it and measure the holes.

Interesting, they must be using Cutler’s rivets or something similar. You’re right I’ll probably just take off the handles and measure the hole in the tang. Thank you.

Dang! You got your quick. Mine was “awaiting fulfillment” until just last night. Ah well, it’ll probably get here after the holiday weekend.

How are you liking it? I’ve never had an h20 before. The muskrat blade looks just about perfect.
The wharncliffe H20 I got a few years ago is one of my most-used knives in the kitchen, but I've always wanted one with a clip. Haven't used the new one for anything yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
