2022 GEC H20 fixed blade

Bunkhouse was advertised as Kitchen knives if I recall correctly. Is there a difference in blade thickness?

Edit: Happened to run across the specs. Looks like Bunkhouse is a bit thinner blade stock.
The bunkhouse handle is shaped differently (larger), and the blade length is longer too. It seems to be slightly thinner stock.

Look what arrived in the mail today! This thing is too good to just keep in the kitchen. I think it would make a great EDC fixed blade. Who could make a nice leather sheath for it?

I’ll be making a (homemade) pocket sheath for mine. Depending on how it goes and how much leather I have left I could make an extra if you’re interested.
I'm just hoping mine fits into one of the sheaths I'd made for my drop point H20.

Collector knives used to sell a nice sheath that fit the H20 really well.
I'm not sure if they still do though.

I didn't see it on their website.

Does GEC not make this H20 sheath anymore, or does anyone still sell it? I'm kind of bummed the knife didn't come with one. I would have paid the extra $20 to not have to deal with shipping my knife to a sheath maker.

Well, I don’t like how it came out but I at least have a functional pocket sheath so I can carry my h20 without fear of stabbing my leg. I’ll be working on a different version soon.

Here’s how it looked when I was mid process. Ended up making it slightly narrower and a bit shorter than this and doing the holes a bit better.

It's a real unfortunate situation, nobody can keep a sheath in production for a knife that's not in constant production.
The fact they aren't including or offering one for them is odd too considering the fact that they don't seem to be intended for kitchen use.

I never really thought about whether these came with a sheath because I'm a lefty and wouldn't use it if they did.
my drop point was gifted to me by a generous forum member and came in the CK clip sheath.
Awhile back I looked on their site and they still had them as well as the neck sheaths, but that was at least a year ago.
They were generic sheath intended for whatever fits in them, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the fauci-flu and supply chain shortages...etc rather than lack of H20 production.

I fell in love with the sheath my bark river mini kephart came in. So I dug around and ordered one of the small Bark River generic bushcraft sheaths that “should” fit my H20… when it arrives I’ll report back.

Fits like a glove.

Bark River Bushcraft “E” sheath for anyone wondering. I did a quick wet form to it last night.

is anybody utilizing the lanyard hole on their H20 ?
I never did on my drop point and specifically had Glennbad leave out the lanyard tube when he recovered it in stag, but I'm not sure on my new wharncliffe.
I don't need one, but it would help it from looking too much like a paring knife.

I use both my H20s as paring knives, so not much application for the lanyard hole. 🤷‍♂️
