2022 Knives Listed on Buck Website...and then Delisted...Live Again!

I am waiting on a definitive response from Buck regarding whether the clip on the 112 Ranger Sport is reversible, otherwise I'll just order a couple to the 50th Anniversary 112's...

I grabbed the 112 Sport. Looking forward to it.

When I zoom in on the different angles of the knife on Buck's website, I believe I see pocket clip holes on the reverse side as well.

Oh I really hope so...

J Hubbard I think stevekolt is maybe asking if we will finally get the option for a drop point blade..I sure hope so! I will order one the first time I see it available. I sure hope Koa might make a return since the Take apart BOTM was such a hit. I'm ok if some options are only for a limited time..as supply's last. If Buck gets a limited amount of wood, horn like Rams horn for example, or blades (S35VN S45VN) we are absolutely delighted to send Buck money for a Custom! I long for really limited Custom materials as that really makes a special knife.
I don't know about drop point blade. We are going to use a lot more real wood instead of colored laminates (Koa included). Let me see what else I can find out about blade steels etc..

Jeff

Edit: It has been confirmed that this Sport models 110/112 does not have a reversible pocket clip.

Below is the negative image of the 112 Sport. Even though it has holes/threads on the other side, the pocket clip would be angled/offset in the wrong direction if installed on the other side. It may still work, but the tip of the clip may go over the edge of the Micarta inlay.

Jeff, I'd be curious to see if screw together construction would be an option also...one can but hope. :D

I saw the specs for 112 Tribute knife and its hefty price tag . Wowsa. I found it hard to believe it’s. “currently unavailable “ after a half hour with a 1,000 count run. Now I know they pulled down the site and havnt sold one. Not a buyer at $352. Sorry Buck. I’m not your huckleberry on this one.

Does anyone notice something different, out of the ordinary, about these 112's?

^^^^^ Just the 50th badge and the 50 Anvil stamp on blade. The Tribute has the 70's era squared off bolsters. This one appears to be the standard current iteration.

Maybe this GIF will help.

Finger grooves go into both bolsters (front bolster really changed)? Looking at the non-50th 112 looks the same though. So, I must be missing the difference, which is usually the case.

Yes that is what I saw immediately. The hook, for lack of a better word, disappears. This is not correct.

I've looked at my 3 and 4 dot F/G 112's and that hook is intact.

I have two F/G 112's from the Custom Shop and they have the hook intact.

I just checked my Canada D/U 112 with F/G's and that hook is intact.

This is a major feature of the 112 Ranger and adding F/G's should not cause you to lose that feature.

Maybe whoever did the render didn't catch that (good catch ss!)?
Enough have been ordered that pics should start showing up on the threads by the weekend or so... we'll know then. If I get mine I'll try to remember to get a pic with an earlier one to compare.
