2024 GEC 321224

Swell Centre Pen then? Nice to see single-spring and it seems it's similar to Queen Cutlery version from 2012 only this had Spear master (preferable....;)) This was not a bad knife at a time when Queen was circling into decline. There was some oddity though, the master blade is carbon but the Pen is stainless...best of all worlds🤣

they might have been on the parts production at that point in their time line. when they were on their way out, there were definitely some funky combos where they just put things together with whatever they had in the bins. parts knives sure but not as neat as GEC's parts knives

Thank you for the pics! Very handsome pattern! Now I can finally envision the coming 32s. If what people say about them using 77 blades is true, then I imagine they'll look much like the Winchester. If those are not older 77 blades from 2014...

At this point I wish they look like a Baldwin swell center ebony pen from David Anthony's book about GEC. Copyrights won't allow me to take picture (of the picture) from the book, I suppose?.. 🤔 It is so well-built and amazingly pleasing, and nothing GEC can't do. ;)

As long as you cite your source and don't profit from the picture you will be fine.

These are going to be really nice excited to see the coco and jig version

Some folks find thin handles uncomfortable when using a knife. Especially those with large hands.
Maker should balance thickness-to-width proportion (and GEC surely does the job). Thin and wide handle is definitely a cumbersome pain, like Otter Mercator. I just couldn't even hold it adequately. In the other hand, Case Slimline Trapper is very good comfort-wise, because it is closer to square near the bolster looking from the end. So, if/when GEC make a Whaler again, I'd have a chance for more proof of that theory (because I'll be all over that pattern regardless).

Yeah, I don't think every pattern should appeal or be catered to every single enthusiast. That could get boring pretty fast.

That said, this is a very attractive pattern and in a great size; it looks like GEC executed it excellently. I am a sucker for swell centers though.

I carried an Ulster very similar to but shorter than the 32 every day for 40 years and never thought twice about it . That was the only good knife that I had . I will probably never use a 32 but I will try to get a Stag one . I do like the pattern and the size .
