2024 GEC 321224

The 32 is so similar in fit and feel to the 35 Churchill a knife that has a regular spot in my rotation, I do like the copeing blade a touch over the pen blade.the 32 carries quite well for 3.90" knife in my sip with a clip, now a nice 32 cocobolo could very well remove the 35 Churchill from its regular rotation, that I have no doubt.

Very nice work on the 78.
I have the blue one and I really like it. It feels sturdy and I think the Tidi shield on it is the most proportional to the handle. I managed to score on a very low priced drop though, so I was stoked before it even arrived.

Edit: although, look at the pic of the coco posted above, that shield is really nice, I don’t know, get both? 🤷
Yeah the coco shield was one of the things that pushed me over the edge against the blue. It's a cool symmetrical design and it's placed in the center of the knife as my opinion dictates shields ought to be on equal end knives. I remember that was a point of contention with some about the #35 Churchill.

...As for the coping mod, now that I have the knife in hand I don't think I'll be regrinding it. It's not just the belly of the blade but the nick is so far forward that the spine would look goofy because it's already sloped down towards the point too much. I'd have to grind off some of the nail nick to get it to look right, and as firm as that blade is I don't want to risk doing that and then have a blade that's a PITA to open.

I had the same thought regarding the Nick. Really wanted to regrind but don’t think it’ll be happening
