2024 GEC 78 Bullet End Barlow

Absolute beauty! An instant classic no doubt, congratulations, sir!

Interesting approach! I am curious, is that because they appeal to you most with all the details such as long pulls, threaded bolsters and such? Or you collect the exact Northfield brand, both new and original old ones?
It all goes back to 2014 & 2015 when I first got back into Barlows and discovered the TC Barlows and I Could Not get one . I was able to get some Northfield Barlows and I could get knives with Stag Handles only in Northfield versions . I decided that I could not buy everything that GEC makes so I stayed with Northfield and the Stag had a lot to do with that decision . I do have some other GEC knives but not many . I do however like a little Bling on some knives . My EDC how ever is a pretty plain knife . I have been able to get One old original Northfield .

Very good, Harry. I've been able to get most of GEC's bullet shielded knives - I think it's a great series. I think I am missing this current 78 and if we're counting GEC made Remingtons, I have not gotten the recent one built on the 47 frame either.
When I get a little time , I will post my MEAGER collection of GEC Bullet knives . I will never use the 47 , but what the hey . I would like to know more about the GEC Bullet Shielded Series though Dylan .

I should probably make it clear that I don't know that GEC's bullet shields comprise any specific series. I call it that for lack of a better term. I am not sure if I am missing others (aside from what I mentioned above and the jigged bone version of the 44), perhaps a more studious collector might chime in.

And there could be no regrets in that decision! You got the best of the best!

Would love to see a picture. I've seen very few pics original Northfields, most of them from the old catalog shown in David Anthony's book about GEC.

Of all these I like the bullet shield the best. I’ve missed out so far but am hopeful I can find one. The whiskey barrel are neat but somehow the bullet really appeals to me on this frame… more so than the usual trappers and others they’ve used it on. Nice score, Harry!

Anyone have a side by side of the 2017 and this latest 78,or even all 3 including the one from 2014.

Thank you, sir! Remarkable piece! With so few original Northfields and Tidioutes out there it is priceless to have a chance to see and admire them.

Sorry for the offtopic, everyone!
