To me, the bolster length is right in between that of a Jack and a Barlow. If it was shorter, it would be a proper Jack. If it was longer, it would be a proper Barlow.

Have you tried some oil on the joints and the springs? And flush out and debris. If it’s still too strong, leave the blade open part way for a day to keep pressure on the spring. Sometimes it helps. Is the pull on any of yours fairly hard? I would say it's an 8 which I was surprised by.
Ill try that thank youHave you tried some oil on the joints and the springs? And flush out and debris. If it’s still too strong, leave the blade open part way for a day to keep pressure on the spring. Sometimes it helps.
I like the pen though!could always get the pen deleted, that some times changes the main's pull![]()
I like the pen though!
Ah ok, yeah it functions fine. I was just curious if that could be the cause of the mushy action on the penbladeAs long as it functions correctly it should not be an issue. Mine are uneven as well.
Ill flush it out, what did you use to reoil it?Mine was gritty and sluggish out of the tube as well. Flushed it once and have been using it today, the action continues to improve.
