Good idea! I was just thinking that we didn't have anything going for all of the other 81's outside of Charlie's beauty.Let's get this party started!I think the City Stock stole the thunder (rightfully so) but this knife deserves it's own thread, so post 'em up.

Looks great Barry! This model has a great build; single spring with liner/spacer, catch bit, and fantastic walk and talk! The frame, the blade configuration and the whole package is awesome. I like the nod to Queen on this version with the winterbottom jigging and the script etch with the dots over the capital letter. Cool!

Is it a two-blade stockman? Jumbo pen knife? Serpentine? Equal-end jack knife? Something else?
My brain wants to say serpentine, but in hand it FEELS like a stockman to me.
Thoughts?

That pattern is called a serpentine moose....and it was a moose in a previous iteration from GEC also..... A moose pattern by definition has a clip on one end and a spey on the other and is almost always built on the same frame as a stockman, the Case 6275 for example. Is it a two-blade stockman? Jumbo pen knife? Serpentine? Equal-end jack knife? Something else?

Doubl-end serpentine jack?Is it a two-blade stockman? Jumbo pen knife? Serpentine? Equal-end jack knife? Something else?
I agree with Jeff!!The new #81 is actually a double-end premium jack because of the short spey. With a long spey the same config is called a moose, which could also have a full length spear blade in place of the long spey.
Remington called this pattern a stockman, back in the day!! I like it a little more than Double-End Premium Jack!! But it's actually both!!!Charlie called his knife a stockman, so I’m going with that.
