2024 Great Eastern GEC # 62 Pocket Carver # 620324

A bit disappointed with my carver. The front rear scales do not match whatsoever. One side looks like the jelly bean and the other has no character at all, just a solid urp brown. Bummer.
All slabs are unique and "matching" can only be done approximately, if there's anything left to match at all. I think you got two different knives in one, so nothing to be down about. Also, any pics?

This example arrived today. It's a beauty.

Because of the kindness of JRRsix7 JRRsix7 , I got to add to my PC "collection"..... I have a white bone, and now a green bone... these things are really nice looking.. preliminary inspection of this one shows it to be typical GEC quality.... excellent. Everything tight, great color... now all it needs is sharpening...

....and the white one, in use, a while back....

I bumped wrong thread. Oops. Bottom of the bone tubes.

No, no, you won't talk me into it, not listening, not listening, la-la-la... 🤪

It is a good pattern and I've been enjoying the orange F&F model. Great utility knife.

I have been thinking, though, that it may be beneficial to do some jigging on the delrin and round off the edges a bit. It's a thought that's been rolling around in my head. It's a bit boxy and a bit slippy.

Has anyone tried this with the delrin?

The only orange delrin I've modded was my model 71 bull nose... I rounded it off, all around, to make it more ergonomic. Delrin shapes well, and you can finish it to a very smooth finish with fine files and fine sandpaper.... I'd go for it, if it was mine... this is my 71 with a 74 for size comparison...
