2025 CPK get together

Thank you Jo & Nathan for a most magnificent time.
The best score I had was all the wonderful folks I met all weekend. From the moment I walked in to Duckworths, I was welcomed and my true CPK education began. I was introduced to wonders I had never even imagined. The CoCKs are a truly unique and special group of people. The Outlaw Cut was africkinmazing, I had zero concept of the tasks, skill & just plain intestinal fortitude it took to compete in a cut. A special thank you to vkp78 & Grenock for double checking on making sure I was good after I gave the parking lot an “Eskimo nose kiss” IMG_1583.jpeg

I was fortunate enough to meet and watch Mark work Saturday, after dinner he finished this Carolina Reaper for me😎

wife keeps going to my fly tying table grabbing it and oogling all over, she took my S&W, she’s not getting the reaper🤨

I had a 4" S&W 500 years ago. I don't remember the recoil being so bad I couldn't hold on to it. However I would only shoot about 10 rounds then I was done. However I was much younger and probably stronger. Don't get me wrong it was definitely a handful. I didn't video or have someone watch me so don't know how far up the recoil took it.

My 480 Ruger kicks hard enough. After 6 shots it hurts and the concussion to others is unbearable
 
Before I forget, thanks all for posting pictures, videos and stories from the gathering. It is nice for the COCKs who couldn't make it to get a taste of the experience. It looks like a good time with good company, I hope this tradition persists for a good long while.
