2025 first knife purchase?

I'm out of town until after New Year's so I requested and was obliged by a few fantastic folks in the exchange to wait to ship until next year, so I already have a Godfather, a XL Rosie, a Protech SBR fixed, a half-track, and a sprint ZT0055 scheduled to land in 2025 😁😉 I went a little nuts with my bonus this year 😂
 
I made a new year resolution... no more knives. Let's hope I can stick to it ;)

Seriously though, I saw a youtube video of a guy who lost a Delica he had carried for years (his only knife). He searched for months, but could not find it. Then his wife, saved up enough money and bought a new one for his birthday. He went without a knife for six months. That sort of made me feel bad. I have enough knives. I've been fortunate enough to buy many knives and figure out what works best for me (Spyderco, Cold Steel, Demko, Mora). But this guy did everything with one old Delica.
 
Likely a scandi knife from ragweed forge. Ive had my eye on a wood jewel brand as a daily carry.

Im in my second cycle of dumping spyderco due to high price and low quality. Not at all what they were 20 years ago. I dumped benchmade a few years ago for the same reason. Have about a dozen sydercos currently to sell off.

Not really liking most folders these days. I find knives like spyderco police handy to have a large serrated blade tucked away when im cycling. But honestly for the weight a mora classic carries just as easily.

Also thinking about daily carrying the old ka bar 1189 I carried in high school. Its a tank of a knife and shaves just enough off of the handle compared to buck 110 that it is comfortable in big pockets.
 
lately I have been on a Spyderco buying spree getting them in a few different steels, Para 3 15V, S90V, Para 2 Magnacut, K390, Sage 5 Rex 121, Smock Rex 45 and Lil' Temperance 3 G-10 serrated to go with my Sage 1 Maxamet, Spydie Chef LC200N, Manix 2 S110V and Para 3 M390 so the one knife I know I want after the first is a Sage 5 Magnacut once they are available. Honestly that will be it for awhile

Sounds like you need a military 2 in spy27 and a GB2 in cruwear! 😁
