2025 first knife purchase?

hopefully one of these five…. The older I get the less knives I purchase, but the ones I do buy I try to make em count. I’d be happy with any one of these in 2025

Demko AD20 (USA)
Les George MK3
RHK Full Track/Project X

Edited, because I just purchased my first Chris Reeve knife 3 days before 2025 (a large 31 drop point in Magnacut!) 😁

I hadn't planned on it. But I backed the new one from OKnife (OLight) during their Kickstarter campaign. It's supposed to get here around the end of January.

I have it on good authority that these will be made. Their original timeline was by end if December, but they had some delays. I'm hoping Q1, but if I had to wait until Blade in June, it'd be worth it. They're some of the only righty knives I'll carry in a front left pocket, because the detent is that good. (Even better than on my lefty Shirogorov NeOn.) I hope they do lefty inlay models, but I know that greatly adds to the work load. Even if only the PJ version is lefty, I'll buy at least one.

Nah Dude, nahhhh.
I'm all done buying knives.
I have EVERY THING I could ever want including one to look at/backup and one to use and scratch up.

Nope, not buying anymore in 2025.

When I do it will be a G-10 UKPK
Beyond that if the BBB folder should magically materialize I would pounce on that like a pack of rats.
. . . other than that . . . nooooo

just to show you how blessed I am with new knives :
I swore I could never buy a Shaman until they got some serious texture on the sides of those scales and some M4 in between.

Then that dambed blue one showed up.
👀 😍
I was so smitten with the color I was actually able to lie to myself long enough I was able to finally convince myself there was some texture on the scales.
Sippery as an eel in hand and the blade is too thick.
Danged if the edge geometry and factory sharpening isn't REALLY, REALLY GOOD !
IT CUTS GREAT !
We are learning to get along . . .
PS : SPY27 is great stuff no prob there
👍

Damn y'all, this thread made me look back and realize that I didn't make a single knife purchase in 2024 😲. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was only 2 in 2023; the Victorinox Winemaster and Companion. We bought our current house in April 2023, and I had to have renovations (done myself) complete by the beginning of July to move in, and then my purchasing interests just shifted for a bit.

I intended to pick up a Magnacut Manix for a blade swap and a BM Adira as a hiking folder, but just never got around to being compelled to pull the trigger. I'm sure I'll get the Manix this year and I'll decide if I want to pay the extra 10% for the price-increased Adira. Aside from that I may try to search out some out of production knives that I find interesting, as the constant churning out of new ones doesn't seem to intrigue me at the moment. Perhaps get some new scales made for some old favorites and breathe new life into them. Funny thing is, I don't feel any less into knives now than I did when I was purchasing like crazy 🤷‍♂️

Well, I purchased the BF Forum knife in 2024, but I’m betting it will be the first new knife of 2025 for me. Not complaining, means I may get TWO BF knives in 2025. Pretty sure that’s how it played out in 2023 as well.
