2025 first knife purchase?

Received a nice, modern Wharnie flipper for Christmas, but it was not a real good match for my 78 year-old hand, so back it went. My refund was approved yesterday, and now I'll get a basic Chaparral that I will use. Can't bring myself to use my gorgeous Sun and Moon. So, for anyone who noticed, this addiction never retires.
I have a sun and moon on the way to me. And my favorite cardboard processor is a CF one. They are a fantastic platform!

Darn it!!!! The exchange got me again. I’ve got 2 incoming this week. Then I’m done 😎. I’ll keep ya all updated as they arrive.

Well after the anticipation of waiting to be surprised which knife would show up first ... I'm very pleased with my first knife for 2025 ... a Waynorth's City Stock.

Charlie hit it out of the Park yet again! Beautiful knife and as near perfect as you can ask for in every aspect.

Thanks Charlie! waynorth waynorth

My first official knife purchase of 2025 is a Buck 119 with red micarta handle. It’s en route and should arrive here in a few days. But I might have to find someone who can make a custom leather sheath for it depending on whether or not I like the nylon/leather one it comes with.

The standard Buck fixed blade sheaths that wrap and snap are pretty great. I have never seen one like you posted.

Made it until the 8th - grabbed a bugout 535-3 off of the marketplace. I don’t have one and they seem to be a collection staple so I had to!

I hadn’t planned on anything for this year but the Kizer Deckhand looked like a very handy small fixed blade, and it just arrived today

With the bobtail fob I added, the sheath was still not great for getting the knife out as the top of the sheath had a small ramp that your thumb would just slide up on,

So I ground the ramp down so that my thumb had something to push against and that helped a bit

My first purchase of 2025 is a “brand new” 2004 Spyderco Scorpius C87S, from the old stock of a local hardware shop. Still in its grey Spydie box, complete with the protective plastic sticker on the SS handle, in its protective plastic bag. A 21 year old “new” knife. The Scorpius has amazing ergonomics.

I had one of those back in the day. Haven’t heard of one in a long time. Got a picture?
